I didn’t realize the hotel was under construction when I chose to book. The lobby looked a little run down and then I saw a sign stating they were under construction. The pool was also closed. I took it for what it was as I wasn’t going to be hanging out there and just sleeping/showering. It was nice there was a microwave and fridge. My key stopped working when I came back late at night and had to go back down to the front desk to activate—the front desk employee was apologetic and kind. The bed was a bit worn down and not very comfortable. The shower did not get hot and we took luke warm showers the next morning. It was too far into our stay and we were on a schedule to leave to move rooms or ask for assistance. The shower knob was missing as well so we couldn’t really tinker with it. Had I noticed sooner/at check in, I may have asked to switch rooms. Overall it seemed clean though and smelled fine. When comparing it to others at that price point, it could have been better. Hopefully the renovations will take care of these issues—in the meantime I would have probably chosen to stay elsewhere with a similar rate had I known.

Air conditioning didn't work. Room was incredibly hot. We switched rooms to a room that barely had AC. It's remote for the TV also didn't work. We spent the night in a hot room with one tv channel.
The receptist was a younger female. She did a great job of trying to help us but she was there alone with no maintenance.
We will find another hotel for our trips to Monroe in the future.

Our stay was comfortable except when we needed to use the toilet. The toilets were low so you felt like you were falling when you sat down on them and it was more difficult to get up off of them.

When we booked there was no communication thatthe hotel had been flooded amd was under construction, everything was tarped off in the lobby. No fitness center, no fitness arra. Kids wereretty tocked after a long day traveling amd not have a pool

Convenient to everything. I didn’t want to go to the river raisin battlefield but my sister made me. Best part of the whole trip. Don’t miss the battlefield

Check in was easy expect I booked on Expedia and asked for pet friendly and was charged for it. Then when I got to the hotel they said I wasn’t charged for it and charged me again $75 plus another $50. I thought I paid enough as it is for only staying 1 night then got charged another $125. Not happy about that. Almost $300 for a one night stay at a Hampton in Monroe Mi. Ridiculous!

The hotel had a pipe burst and flood the lobby and first floor. The fans were going, non stop, and it was so loud you had to yell to communicate. The breakfast was a bit lacking also, but again, it was so loud, I was happy to go. I’m sure if the pipe issue wasn’t a factor the review would be different, but it happened & this was my experience. The location is very convenient and the staff were friendly.
