I had never stayed in a hotel where the lobby was closed and the amenity access (gym, vending, etc.) was on the exterior, and some of the rooms were also exterior access, we were given a room in a different building with interior access, I noticed the Ice machine in the building was down and the hall was a little smelly and the carpet could use a wash/ replaced and it made me a little worried, buuut Pam was so helpful and I appreciated the quick and easy check in over the phone there is no staff after a certain hour so I appreciated her calling an imstructing me on how to find our room key, I was number for after hours assistance but didn't need it. I will say I loved our room everything was functional and so so clean which was such a surprise/relief to see beautiful modern floors clean crisp bedding spotless bathroom, the details and extra touches like the towel folding and TP decoration made my day and did not go unnoticed. The lobby was cute and cozy, Breakfast was so yummy even my picky eater gobbled it right up! So many options to chose from, from hot sweet or savory breakfast, to bagels and cold cereal. If I am ever passing through again I will chose this Particular Quality Inn I think if thay hallway was redone this hotel would be top on my list of options.

Hotel was older and worn. Room smelled very bad as though someone had smoked in the room with minimal effort to remove the smell. Would not recommend anyone stay here.

A very good breakfast raised this to a 4. The room was very clean. Being on the on the lower floor of the back section it was a little dark as the window was high up and level with parking.
Tip, get a second floor room.

Doesn't have to be perfectly clean or chic -- sink, tub, and toilet were SPOTLESS but there were toothpaste spots on the mirror frame; I had no reservations about going barefoot -- because it is what it is. Breakfast was simple, tasty, and plentiful. Pam at the front desk in the afternoons and Vi who fed us were wonderful. (The gentleman who set me up with my second night was absolutely fantastic as well, but I forgot his name.)

Parking is terrible. Couldn't figure out where to check in. Room was very small and the outdoor area was downright scary. Building had a bad odor inside. But the shower was good, bed was good and breakfast was good.

For a budget friendly hotel, this place really was great - I’ll definitely stay here again next time I’m traveling thru Cortez- there are a few signs that it’s an older property but it’s very clean and seems to have been recently updated

Room was in a quasi basement, I swear it looked like a crack house complete with a busted up patio set on the entrance and a half smoked cigarette on top of the key entry scan box.
While the photograph of the front units looks okay, beware of the hovel rooms up the hill that you cannot see.

Pleasant front desk employees. Loved the fact that the laundry room had a treadmill, elliptical, and bicycle available, to keep one busy while waiting for laundry to finish. Updated walk-in shower. Everything clean and comfortable
