The grounds are meticulously maintained and beautiful. I didn't like that you couldn't turn off the ceiling fan light and the room took forever to cool down.

The property was beautiful pretty and well kept, but the staff was phenomenal. Kind, helpful, caring! Above and beyond! My only negative would be the price of the food. I just couldn’t justify spending that kind of money on food. So, we opted for the chuck wagon. They had good food for a decent price. But, when we return - we will ultimately stay here again. I am in love with the experience. 💜

It was a beautiful property and amazing room. Very close to sunset rock so we were able to walk down and watch the sun set. The pool was a great addition. We really enjoyed our stay!

An amazing and beautiful resort. My family had a wonderful time playing games on the big lawn, swimming in the family pool, roasting marshmallows in the bonfires, and exploring the orchard.

Stayed in the Manor House. Beautiful location but rooms are quite plain. Perhaps they tried to be too historically correct. Front desk is friendly but very understaffed - usually one person answering calls for information and reservations and trying to meet the needs of guests. No concierge. No parlor or gathering place - was turned into extra dining space. Hotel shuttle charges 6.75 per person each way to get into town and back. At these prices, shuttle should be complimentary. They just did not seem to have their act together.

Like most things on Mackinac Island, this hotel is way overpriced for what you get. The location is about 3 miles from everything but the back nine of the golf course -- which is a big deal when the only transportation is a horse drawn taxi. The room we stayed in was, to be it nicely, primitive. (Read: A VERY small room, a portable fan for air conditioning, and a shower-no bath-that was just about big enough to turn around in, but not quite.) The breakfast was good, but the other meals were overpriced. Our recommendation to anyone visiting the island would be to pay the $25 a day to take the ferry back and forth to the mainland and stay in a good hotel.

Beautiful location on the west side of the island, away from all the crowds. View of Mackinac Bridge while lying in bed! Call a few days before and you might be happy with a lower rate. Make sure you bring your bikes, as the Inn is a long way from town.
