Very centric and close to everything - super practical in terms of places to go and accessible. The main issues were around the quietness of the room, it was next to a patio and there was a lot of noise at night which made it difficult to sleep during the stay. The breakfast is limited but always good to have as an option

Receptionist was friendly, welcoming and efficient. Room was tiny, tired, tatty and very basic. You open the door and are faced immediately with a wall and small gap to negotiate around through with your case to where the beds are. Towels were clean but clearly very old and tatty. All in one shower gel/ shampoo container was dirty. Got 2 slivers of soap and that was it . Having a shower means a large part of the floor is soaked so be careful not to slip. TV was broken but I fixed that as part of my services to the hotel owner. Air con was noisy but effective, with 1 window relatively high up that to let in light could either be fully opened or closed, no half way position. No pictures or anything to brighten up a very bland room. All of the walls were badly marked and desperately needed painting. Location is very central which was ideal and the sole reason for booking. Skipped breakfast as the area (reception & breakfast seating is all in the one area) was full to the brim and looked chaotic & stressful. I would never have rated this as a 4 star hotel. I've seen other sites rate it at 3 which felt generous. Receptionist lady is brilliant. No real noise issues at night. It is 10m down what is effectively a back ally which as a lone female traveller could feel intimidating when the restaurant staff have cigarette breaks at the back are staring at you.

Basic no frills accommodation. Good location, main attractions walkable. Towels not changed everyday. AC does not cool very well. Staff can be surly - a bit of friendliness would not be out of place!

Would stay here again! Staff was amazing and let us drop our luggage off early. So close to everything and the best sandwich shop is right down the street. Rooms are clean and modern. There is even an elevator which is rare to find in Italy. Great breakfast was also provided.

The location was really good. The hotel is dumpy and the rooms air conditioner is at minimum and took a whole day to work. Breakfast is fruit salad and mass croissants. Will not come back.

Great location, the only issue we had was that the door appears to close but you actually have to give it a solid tug from the outside or push from the inside to get it to latch successfully. Very nice hotel, nice breakfast, amazing location. Thank you!

We would definitely recommend avoiding this hotel. The rooms are very cramped and the air conditioning emits a foul odour. We were actually very worried about mold spores being emitted from the unit. We heard other people complaining about their a/c as well. Our biggest complaint - our plans changed and we needed to cancel our last remaining night. We asked the hotel manager if this would be a problem and if we would be charged for the night (that we needed to cancel), We were told that it wouldn’t be a problem. The hotel simply needed to confirm with Expedia that we were not to be charged, but we found out afterwords that they refused (after management told us we would not be charged). We would definitely recommend avoiding this hotel.

Before I begin, this wasn’t a bad hotel but it definitely does not project the 4* rating it holds.
The two biggest factors that we loved was the central location (5*) and good air-conditioning (5*) - especially in 40 degrees heat.
The hotel is down a side street from All’Antico Vinaio but not the best signage. Our stay included breakfast which was basic, but enjoyable - especially the “fill your own croissants” station.
The rooms were also pretty basic with not much storage space, but the refurb does look good. The room could have been better equipped as our safe didn’t work, our suitcases didn’t fit in the wardrobe and the bathroom was always soaking as the floor seemed to slope towards the door. However, they did replace the towels more often than they said, so slight “win”.
We were told that the tourist tax had to be paid by cash (which is very odd) and was 7€ per person per night (98€ for a 7 night stay for 2 of us) - very steep for this accommodation.
Staff were friendly enough and the lady who works at the desk at night always wished us a good evening with a smile. One big criticism would be that a gentleman (who I presume is the owner) didn’t ask us once about our stay or make sure our “small issue” was fixed to our satisfaction.
I can say we overall enjoyed our stay at the Aurum Uffizi but after exploring Florence and now knowing what else is available for a similar price, we would pay the small difference for an all round better experience next time.

The staff was very kind and helpful, but they don't use a night auditor overnight, they just close the lobby down. Make sure to book transportation if needed before they leave for the night. The location is a bit strange, being in an alley, but I never felt unsafe. That said, the location is absolutely perfect, you are in the middle of everything. The room we had could have used a little maintenance, nothing major, bedside shelves not fully secured, door handle was loose, minor stuff. Air conditioner was nice and cold, which was huge during the heat wave. Pizza Napoli and the sandwich shop are within stumbling distance, you'll love the location.

It's a accurate location near to Piazza della Signoira, everything is so close, the difficult was stairs, and Air Condicionate. Quiet place.

Nice rooms and staff were nice, able to leave our bags at hotel even after we checked out while waiting for train. Its down an alleyway which feels a little unsafe, but once inside it felt super comfy and safe.

The location was great, next to Piazza della Signoria. Staff was nice and helpful and allowed us for an early check in. The room was small though and there was no black out curtain.
