We had a great stay at la Fornace. Really nice place to stay.

We were in Europe for 2 weeks and this place was the highlight of our trip. Beautiful place, spacious rooms, and the staff was amazing. We absolutely loved Diva, their sweet doggie!!

We stayed 6 nights in this lovely hotel. The location of the hotel was next to the beach where a good restaurant was located as well. The hotel had great customer service. The only downside was that it was difficult to sleep because of the noise coming from outside (busy road next door), and the buses go quite rarely, so a car could be a good option.

Stay was amazing. The suite is so unique and we are glad we rebooked the hotel after canceling in 2020 due to Covid. Not a lot of good choices in the area. We had a car so that wasn’t a problem for us. Restaurant on-site was very good just not where I would choose to eat every night. Breakfast was included and excellent.

Everything was perfect in this hotel, the room is new, clean and well decorated. The restaurant is amazing one of the best in our trip to Sorrento region. We love it!

I really wanted to like this place more. But it is let down by a few things. Firstly, the good ... our room was a junior suite and was a good size with a new and clean bathroom and plenty of space. The whole property is very small, only 6 rooms, but very nicely decorated and very clean throughout. But things to know before you book ... the location is not great. It is on a main road, the parking is a few hundred metres down the road, there is a beach opposite, over the main road which is nice with pebbles instead of sand and a couple of restaurants to eat at. You need a car to stay here. It is close to Pompeii and Vesuvius but an hour from Sorrento and longer to Positano. None of the staff speak English and the main lady has a rather brusque manner which can be off putting. We asked for extra towels but were told that as they had been changed that morning, we weren't allowed more. We ate dinner one night in the restaurant, which is in a very small brick converted furnace and it was one of the worst meals we've ever had. We were the only customers that night and were told that the sea bass that we wanted was finished, which we couldn't understand. As this was the only vegetarian option, we ended up with some whole fish fried which was inedible. It's not a 'bad' hotel, it just feels as though it's not run very well and it could be better.

The room is so magical and gorgeous and it’s honestly just a one of a kind experience that you must treat yourself to. The staff was beyond lovely and helpful in every way and made us feel so welcomed. We also had a delicious dinner there (they even accompanied my special dietary needs and let us have our dinner on our rooms’s private balcony) and an absolutely wonderful and relaxing massage in their gorgeous spa. We just can’t recommend this place enough! Thanks for such a perfect experience! ♥️

I visited in Italy from north to south staying in 4 different hotels for 12days but this property was best among all. All staffs were very kind and professional though they opened the property just recently. Sparkling clean property with modern and cozy interior. Great location - quiet environment, private beach access. Highly recommend if you are planing to visit Sorrento and Positano.
