The property has a great location. There were issues while we stay at this property for 10 days. First, Wifi connection was very poor in our room. I could say that in our 10 days of stay, I only had a few hours of wifi connection and that was the first day we checked in. One night, I had to call their IT to help us with the wifi connection. Another night I had to go down to the front desk to ask for help and she said she will get IT to help us. We waited until we fell asleep - nobody showed up. The rest of the stay? I had to go out to the pool area or the lobby. Breakfast menu was poor. We had the same menu every morning for 10 days. One morning, when we went down for our breakfast, there was only one waiter available, no available table for 4 (it means that most tables were not cleaned nor ready and the rest were occupied. It was around 8:30 in the morning. Breakfast time starts at 6am. We stood by the front entrance for a good 3 mins to be waited on and finally I approached the waiter if we could sit on the one uncleaned table to wait because we had a senior citizen with us who can't stand that long. We waited and nobody came to clean the table so we moved to a long table of probably 10 just so we could start our day. Very disappointing. One night, I had to call 2 times for our free water bottle. So overall, the family did not have a comfortable stay at this property. Customer service was poor. I think that this property could use a better shower mat. Upgrade a little bit

First time in Davao. Apo View was perfect for our stay, it was near the People's Park, Davao Cathedral, Gaisano Mall and taxi and other public transpo was super accessible right outside the hotel. Breakfast buffet was lovely, many choices to select from. Our room was cleaned daily and refills were regularly done for the complementary coffee etc. The staff were all courteous always greeting us with the right hand in their heart...a custom I guess to show sincerity of greetings....if given a chance to visit Davao with the whole family, Apo is the place 👍👍👍

The buffet part. Short staff. Nit easy to find seats. Lots of reservation for a small place. Should be that reservation good for until 15 mins if no show open it up to other guests.
Food is so so. Repeating. In the Philippines, we have alk kinds of yummi breakfast food. Should have variety and mire healthy choices like vegetables - pinakbet, bisaya otan, etc. note less salt or no salt should be the mind of the chef. Thank you

I don’t know why this hotel doesn’t get better reviews. Yes, it’s older and yes, the rooms might smell a little bit but it’s a nice classical hotel with a good breakfast, Great location and big rooms.

Overall, value for money. Only comment is the shower curtain needs to be properly installed. So high that the water bounces off onto the dry area of the bathroom. Messy and dangerous because the wet floor becomes slippery. The curtain should touch the floor or at least a few millimeters above it. A hand towel bar won’t hurt either.

Overall our stay was pretty good.
My only complaint is that the Internet is VERY Poor to Non existing in the room (4th Floor)
So to get anything done on the internet required sitting in the lobby or coffee shop.
On a good note the coffee shop was pretty comfortable.

It’s an older hotel, it’s understood but the safe was not working and no hot water. Supervisors were informed on both and promised to fix. Four nights there and never saw them. Breakfast buffet food was ok but food was not replaced when they run out. It was a constant battle trying to get them to bring fresh dishes. Took 25 minutes to get bacon after it ran out. Don’t go to breakfast after 9am, you’ll only get the leftovers! It seemed the working staff was trying but the kitchen personnel were not. I put this on supervision/management, not the employees. It is management job to insure coordination between employees.

The property is admittedly under rennovation. The breakfast buffet was open at 6 but not fully set uo. By 7 it was better. When i asked for simple things like refill of empty pans, butter, syrup, jam, coffee, egg station...just shoulder shrugs from most of the staff.seems key people di not show up on time perhaps

The room is ok.But the “bathroom” is worst. The “hot & cold” shower is NOT working and “Shower” knob control is NOT functioning well..You have to keep holding with your other hand the “Knob control” so the water will keep flowing from the shower (On top) , otherwise it will transfer to the “Faucet” in the bath tub😞😞..

We stayed here last year and again last week and we'll probably stay there again in future. The rooms are comfortable, but could be cleaner. The bathrooms are functional, but are due for a refresh. One feature we really enjoy is the breakfast. Rudy is TOP NOTCH with customer service. I think he's dining manager.

The hotel is a bit old and the service is poor. The breakfast buffet was terrible for a new year buffet. There was no bread and pinoy kakanin..the refill of the food is so slow you would think the buffet is over. I would not recommend this hotel

The Apo View, because of its centralized location, has been a favorite of mine for years. The breakfast buffet is one of the best and the service is always impeccable. There is a great variety of food offerings from salad to fresh fruit to native food, juices and coffee. Freshly-made omelette is also offered in addition to the regular buffet offerings. The tropical garden outside the restaurant is like paradise with its lush vegetation. My room was not the best. I had a view of the city and I could look down on the pool. There is a fridge, and a coffee bar. However there is a musty smell in the room because of water dripping on the carpet.
the carpet is old and paint in the bathroom was peeling. In spite of this, I still liked staying at the Apo View. I am sure the management is aware of a lot of issues in the hotel. In time, i hope that these will be rectified and travelers will find it the best venue for their visit. The front desk staff is always cheery and helpful and they go out of their way to please the guests. I prefer to stay here anytime there is room available and I am in the city.
