It was just for one night, but they were so helpful and friendly, the accommodations were new and funky, the hotel was quiet and comfortable.

We had a great stay. Although it was only stayed one night we would have stayed for much longer if we we weren't flying out the next day. I appreciated the added security at night, it's a safe touristy area but that also means some nightlife in the vicinity, which we took full advantage of ourselves! The main door locks at night and you use your hotel key to get in, the desk is also staffed around the clock should you need assistance. The sound insulation is really good too, we didn't hear anything once we got in our room. The room itself was clean and comfortable. We didn't use the hotel restaurant, again it was our last night in Iceland, but we would have if we had a longer stay. The place seemed to have a nice ambience. Only minor thing is that pillows were on the thin side; I used my travel pillow to prop it up. Conveniently located near shops, restaurants, and a supermarket right next door. Staff was VERY nice and courteous and they stored our bags after check-out so we can go have breakfast and do some last minute shopping. Plenty of street parking and parking lots within walking distance.

The hotel is in city center so it’s a bit cramped. The lighting in the room isn’t great and the neighborhood gets incredibly loud at night, so it can be hard to settle down. The bed was rock solid which some people like, but I find to be uncomfortable. I didn’t sleep well as a result. Location is wonderful and staff was nice but because of the beds and the noise, I would choose to stay elsewhere if I returned.

Staff were very friendly. Hótel was in the good location and walkable ,everything was around.
Only issue It was a bit noisy from outside and dinning room when you are over it , but after changing my room ,it became quite.

Really enjoyed the two nights I stayed at Hotel Von. It is extremely central & walkable, being on the city’s popular shopping & entertainment street, Laugavegur.
Staff were friendly & courteous.
Would definitely recommend for a few days stay in Reykjavik!

Was great location - right along the main strip and walking distance to many bars including those with live music. Also has a grocery store right next door so if you’re traveling all over with a car you can stock up. Was a great room and cool vibe too

Hotel Von was perfectly located near everything we wanted to see and do in Reykjavik. The staff was wonderful and allowed us to check in early and even upgraded our room free of charge. Would absolutely recommend to those coming to stay in Reykjavik.

This was our first nights stay after arriving from California- we were quite jet lagged so just wanted a conveniently located place in Reykjavik. This fit that description perfectly - Bonus being right next door was great (even though it’s a small and very busy one).
Everything was walkable for us (Hallgrims church, dinner, rainbow road, etc). That being said, our room was SMALL. We knew it would be but some things like a huge bed frame in a tiny space are completely unnecessary.
Still worth it considering- plus, IcelandAir lost our luggage for the first 24 hours so that gave us some space back in the room ha! And made it especially convenient since we had to buy some crucial replacement items and shops like Ice Wear and Bonus were so close.
Parking was a concern since this is downtown but I planned on parking in a garage 2 blocks away and it was a nice short walk so ended up not being a big deal.

Hotel Von is centrally located near convenient bus stops, shopping, dining and tourist stops. In particular I appreciated the assistance of front desk when we needed instructions to get to the cruise terminal. An easy bus ride got us where we needed to be. Although there were not many amenities, Hotel Von met our basic needs for a good clean hotel close to many things.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. I arrived in mid-morning from transatlantic flight and was able to get my assigned room since it had already been cleaned. Very appreciated not having to wait until 3 PM published check-in and no additional charges.
Breakfast service was very good both mornings I ate there.
