What an awful place. I stayed for 3 nights and it was the worst 3 night stay iv ever had. First night was a Saturday night and they had live music on downstairs. It was soooo loud that the toilet seat and shower door were shaking for the whole gig. I had the tv on full volume and i still couldnt hear it. Awful considering i was there for business and had an all day event the next morning. The following morning i went down early for breakfast and it was disgusting downstairs. Stunk like a nightclub toilet everywhere and there was toilet paper and glasses on the floor still. Our shower basin was blocked and whilst showering the water kept building up and nearly overflowing the basin so you could only shower for about 4 minutes. I reported it but nothing got done. The last night we had no hot water at all from the taps or shower. What a joke of a place. I think the local council should inspect this place and actually check if its actually a viable place to let people stay.

We paid extra for breakfast which was really tasty especially the sausages! The staff were all friendly & hard working.

Have stayed here before hence why we booked again, however we feel the cleanliness has gone down hill & meals are now very expensive. Although there is cheaper options. The service wasn't as good as before. Breakfast was good. window in one bedroom was painted shut therefore unable to open to let air in!

Perfect stay at the Malthouse, beautiful breakfast too.unfortunately we were on a busy trip and didn’t have time to have evening meal. Would love to go back

Stayed last night omg we love it here! Fab atmosphere....the room The Drawing Room was gorgeous and quirky. Food fabulous. Staff awesome. Location perfect. Revolution were great....the vibe was amazing. We are definitely coming back xxxxx

We stayed for a night in the attic room which was spacious and clean.
All staff were friendly and helpful. A lovely stay for us. Music could be heard till about midnight but that is what we had gone for, so no problem!

Very popular, food choices limited but good, great breakfast. Accommodation comfortable, great location. We stayed on a Friday when there was live entertainment

Staff were lovely, HOWEVER, Hotel is located in a separate building to the pub photographed. Dark and dingy carpeted stairwell. Absolutely no sound proofing woken up repeatedly by people passing through the several doors that slammed. No fire doors anywhere. Extra surprise to find ‘private bathroom’ is located across the hall, passing by another guests room- not clear on hotels.com at all. And finally, the bathroom door didn’t lock!!! Hotel wasn’t cheap either.

In general the hotel was good, our room smelled a little damp, and the toilet was dirty, but other than that we couldn’t fault it.
The restaurant food at night and breakfast were both excellent.

Easy check in, friendly and helpful staff. Our stay at the Malthouse was excellent. The breakfast was huge and I would recommend eating here of an evening too as the evening menu is also excellent

Absolutely loved the decor staff were very polite but room was filthy partner going through chemo and cleanliness is needed I’ve emailed but had no response !!! I have photos so I have proof
