Definitely a no frills property for people looking for a place to crash after a long night out in Bairro Alto. No response when asked to drop bags early (via text). No one arrives at the property until checkin time at 4pm. The AC didn't work in the room and when asked about looking into fixing it they made an attempt, but when that didnt work the response was like "well, what can you do? Works great in the winter." Wouldn't stay here again.

I travelled continually for 7 years and stayed in many hostels, and this one was by far the worst for comfort. It’s impossible to sleep at night due to the noise. I had expected a certain level of noise and being able to hear music due to the hostels location, however the music is so loud the bass vibrates the room until 4am, then the sound of bottles being emptied into large bins continues until 7am. Unless you’re on a trip solely to drink and stay out late (perhaps a stag do) this hostel wouldn’t work. Further to this the air con didn’t work in the rooms at all, it turned itself off after around 5 seconds of being on despite all settings being changed, upon complaining about this we were advised this was in all rooms and they were very good at heating- not useful. My bedsheets were also stained. There also isn’t a communal area other than the kitchen to meet people, which is often offered in other hostels. Positives are that the hostel other than the bedsheets was very clean- including the bathroom, and it’s in a very central location. Overall I think the description of the hostel needs updating to reflect the levels of noise, and that there’s no air con so people can be better placed to choose whether they’d want to stay there.

Very well situated and not very expensive. It's a very good place to visit Lisbon. The beds are ok. Nevertheless, you can hear the noise of the street and the street can be very noisy... Just one toilet for 4 rooms at the last floor. Lock the main door correctly otherwise someone drunk can came in and try to open the doors of the different rooms... You will not sleep well once again :)

Great location! In the middle of everything. The noise at night didn’t bother me. Neither did the Shared bathrooms. Clean enough. Pretty much a great place to sleep and shower.

Price and location are excellent. Service was good and friendly. But it's very old and they have only shared bathrooms. Also a bit noisy as there's party outside every night.

This property was Awesome...walking distance to many restaurants,souvenirs shops. Friendly stuff. Hostel was very clean. cute and cozzy with AC Really loved it and will be back.

You get what you pay for! Rooms are small.and basic. If you're looking for a place in the heart of the nightlife then you've picked the right spot. The staff are very friendly and there is a cleaning person daily to clean up the mess of people staying there. However, sharing amenities like a kitchen and bathroom with others can lead to messy places. The bathroom was full of hair (not the fault of the accomodations as they cleaned it the next day) and the kitchen was filled with crums from guests. Also, you're right in the heart of Bario Alto and the party goes until 4 am!!

Very good location for restaurants and bars and quite near the tube station. The room was clean , the only problems were the bathrooms, no hook for the shower, you had to hold it and the other shower room flooded so you couldn't dry yourself properly with nowhere to put your clothes whilst you showered. But all in all ok for what we paid.
