Establishment is the perfect mix of hostel life and people who want their own private rooms, although the private rooms are very small. Pool is wonderful (and open until 10!), and the bar and food are great! Location, location, location. Very close to the beach and Bangla Rd. People from all over stay here. To watch the pool area, you feel like you are watching Club MTV, that American TV show from the 80s where it is always Spring Break. Yet the music is never too loud and the room is pretty quiet. A/C, bedding and shower in the room are lovely, although I hoped for hotter hot water and a refrigerator (as advertised). The vibe and value are great: I would stay here again.

Had an issue with the booking and tried to cancel but they refused and made me jump through hoops anyway. I booked this place as a solo traveler hoping to socialize and meet people since it was advertised as a hostel. Turns out, it's part hostel, part hotel. It's not social at all! The pool is completely inadequate as there are only 2 day beds and 4 or so lounge chairs for the entire property! They have another area with day beds and chairs and such, but it's far from the pool and was occupied by random people and couples. They offer pub crawls and other activities but they are ridiculously overpriced and totally not worth it. The 2 events i saw were all guys and the few young women that were there were interested in only hanging with each other and not even participating in the group activities. For a couple that just needs a place to stray, i guess it's ok.The shared hostel room was nothing special. I would definitely not return to this place with so many other options in the area!

The private room was very small but it was very clean and met my expectations. Service was good. I like that water was given in glass bottles rather than plastic. There was a coffee machine but it needed pods, which wasn’t provided. There’s no closet, and limited space, so be prepared did that. Overall it was a good stay.

The area is nice, but it's just too loud at night. There is quite some music until late coming from the pool area, and a lot of partygoers here. I booked 7 nights, but decided after just 1 night that I will move to another hotel, as unfortunately I was also sick and it was so loud at night I could not sleep. And yes, I lost my 6 nights, they didn't offer any refund or try to find any solution. I would not stay here again to be honest. But: If you are a party-goer and you don't mind noise at night, this might be a great place to stay! And yes, it was clean, and the room was small but okay, basically what you would expect for this category.

The activities hosted by the organizers are great for solo travellers looking to make friends. The staff was very easy going and fun to hangout with as well

Great hostel, kind staff, and comfortable amenities. One thing I'll note is that in the dorm showers, the drains were not cleaned regularly and when hair got cut, the water didn't drain properly.

Great Hotel. I definitely would come back to Lub d. I recommend the cooking class. It is a fun way to learn a traditional Thai dish.

Loved having the laundry with irons available. Room was quiet despite DJ and everything else going on. I didn’t participate in all of the amenities but I imagine younger people really have a great time here. Room was very clean and bed was excellent. Great pillows and loved the convenience of light switches and outlets at bed. Would definitely stay again.

Cheap and ok up until the last morning. We thought checkout was 2pm. I’m happy to admit my mistake it was actually 12noon BUT the phone call I received at 12:06 was unnecessarily rude. There is no excuse for rudeness and ultimatums and being dictated to over the phone. Go somewhere else!

Close to everything, rooms were just ok, nothing special. The checkin process took forever both times because they’re extremely slow and some do not speak English at front desk as well as they should. Great place for meeting people and they do have lots of activities daily.
