Absolutely nothing

I made a reservation for my family in Washington DC confirmation #4308816386. It was billed as a "Luxury 4 bedroom. We arrived with my friend, her daughter, 3 grandchildren and my sister. As we stopped at the corner of the street on which the house was located, an inebriated prostitute bumped into our car. Obvious drug deals were being made on the corner and there was a homeless encampment across the street. The house next to ours was burned down. The children walking home from school were all being escorted in groups by adults in uniform, obviously for safety purposes. It takes a lot to scare me, but I can assure you my grandchildren were not getting out of that car. I realize Booking can't physically inspect all your properties, but this was beyond dangerous. What if we were tourists from outside the country and didn't know where else to go? You put people in real danger. This is not acceptable. I will be putting a review with this information online. I do not appreciate the expense or the danger to my family. When you create a business such as this you must assume some responsibility for your guest's safety. We were NOT safe. There must be a government agency that oversees such businesses. I will be researching it. You need to shut down this house, take it OFF your site before someone ends up robbed or dead. Plus we never stayed one minute on the property and we were still charged for the entire 2 nights plus cleaning fees.

The house was beautiful and they provided us with everything we needed. The owners were very informative and kept in great contact with us.
