Amazing property! Just very remote, not really in Castro. A little hard to find initially ( get good directions from staff) Expedia doesn’t have exact location . Staff wonderful. Food delicious. Wish we had spent more time

Our stay at the Refugio was an absolute highlight of our trip. From the personal welcome, gorgeous view, peaceful location, delicious food, and incredible birdwatching, we loved every minute of our time. We did not want to leave! This is a very special place--every detail was amazing.

Amalia, Carlos and Julian have created a wonderful, off the beaten path refuge. You know it’s sited well. It’s on the same cove as Tiarra. See authentic Chiloé in person, not in a bubble.

The location; although very remote -and thankfully the signage on the partial dirt road allowed us to get there easily during the day.
It is very peaceful! The design of the 6 rooms unique. The property showcased the volcano and lake well.
