Friendly staff, location, comfortable beds. The hotel was on the high street with war of access to pubs and shops. NCP parking was close by and only £6.95 for 24hours
The coffee machine needs updating/fixing? Breakfast was okay, would be nice to have the option of a cooked breakfast

When we were looking on booking.com I filtered swimming pool and restaurant in hotel, this hotel came up. My son was elated thinking it had a swimming pool at the hotel. My husband and i were happy with a restaurant that we wouldn't have to leave. But no pool and no restaurant at the hotel. The breakfast in the morning was terrible. The coffee maker machine didn't work, no sign to say it wasn't. The cold breakfast was awful. The pancakes were freezing and rubbery. The Croissants tasted bitter. Not a good nights sleep with the music at the clubs until 3am. It was just disappointing. It's the first time we've used booking.com in years that I can say we are disappointed.

Shower head was broken and had to hold it. Obviously previously reported as broken connection was not present.
Breakfast was continental as the extractor fan was broken in the kitchen.
Car parking is premium and the hotel should look at gaining discounted spaces for visitors. Everywhere is mainly permit or resident parking with many vacant spots.

The hotel poor administration. They started the hotel recently having a private club operating just under the building without making the rooms on that side sound proof. When I complained they LIED to me. The reception called a pub at the opposite side of the hotel and he mentioned that he sorted the issue. WRONG . The music was playing until 4:30 in the morning. From the club below and not the one just below. I feel sorry for the business as they will learn the hard way. Customer satisfaction and good references are very important for a start up like they are. They can not fool people for a long time. In my case, what bothers me more is the way they handled the incident. They LIED to me ...by pretending they try to solve the issue. Money come and goes. Reputation stays.

Staff were very pleasant and room had nice clean bedding .
Having mobility issues there was no parking close by for disabled people or for anyone else.
Room was very stuffy as unable to even open the windows a fraction . Air conditioning needed to be on all the time as so hot and stuffy .
Slow running water so perhaps sort the water pressure .
Crumpets were stale and the supposedly ‘Orange juice ‘ was just like squash .
Someone was smoking weed and could smell it all along the corridor.

It was clean and the bed was very comfy .I like the room size and happy with the amount paid . I enjoyed the breakfast too ..it was amazing.
We could not connect to Netflix because of the internet which was quite disappointing.

Very convenient especially for the train station and parking.
The room was airy and large with comfortable beds and a good-sized bathroom.
Breakfast perfectly adequate and well stocked.
Thought the room would have been made up during our two night stay, but it wasn't. It didn't bother us too much, but I feel it may other people as it's what usually happens.

Simple accommodation in the centre of Newport, right next to train station. Really friendly staff, spotlessly clean, really comfy bed with great linen and nice toiletries. Free bottles of water and tea and coffee. Didn’t have breakfast but it looked simple but good. It was extremely good value for a weekend 2 night stay.

The location is amazing, literally a 2 minute walk from the train station. You have the centre on your door step, night club, all the shops you need loads of take aways. The staff are amazing 👏 very welcoming and polite 😀 very friendly.
They need to inform there residents that the breakfast is not hot food available apart from toast and crumpets other than that was an amazing stay l.

Absolutely nothing.
It’s next door to multiple nightclubs with no soundproofing which meant hearing extremely loud music and bass until 5am, there was also no hotel sign to identify itself but the previous hotel name and it also looked like refugee camp in a warzone, the breakfast consisted of gone off fruit and stale croissants, a weird spare door in the room which we did not know where it lead to? Bad management with innapropriot jokes, I also got really sick after staying here so I’m going to blame the hotel as it was rotten there.

Air conditioning - turned it as low as possible but it was still really weak and even when we used the fan provided it was really hot in the room.
Shower head pressure - The water pressure from the shower head was really low so made it a bit difficult to wash
