I didn’t no there’s no fridge in the room iam diabetic i had to improvise I use ice bucket to keep my insulin medication as cool as possible the next issue was the tv I could not change the channel the tv kept turning off by itself after the 3 times reporting the issue they change the box the phone in my room was not working so everytime there was an issue I had to go downstairs to the front desk or call from my self phone then around midnight we woke up from kids yelling playing running down the hallway lastly went it was time to take shower there was an issue with the water every time when I went to complain about the issue they kept telling me there are still doing renovations

Located near Miami airport on a busy road. The sound insulation needs improvement. Room was was big , bed was big and comfortable. Renovations are currently being carried out so hopefully sound deadening will be improved/applied.

It definitely didnt deserve the rating it got . Tho the staff was nice tv didnt work the floor was dirty . The bathroom was icky. I would notstay there again

There was a little issue with the elevator and it didn't work (it was fixed within a few hours). Because of that, we had to use the stairs that are outside of the building in the meanwhile . The stars were not well maintained, they were dirty. These were the only problems. I would definitely go back, it's a good deal for the price.

what didn't i like about this place?

The Onyx hotel cancelled our reservation the week we were leaving due to "renovations," We were notified through Expedia. The hotel never contacted us...they left us without a place to stay. I had also first booked this hotel through Hotwire for our beginning stay and then used Expedia for the end of our stay (a week later). Both Hotwire and Expedia tried to reach the hotel but were unable to do so.

This property seems to be in the midst of renovations, and a lot of unfinished work is noticeable. For example, the curtain on our window was hanging off the brackets, and the hot tap on our bathroom sink was broken. We were still quite comfortable, and would consider staying there again, once the renos are completed! The only real negative for us was the airport shuttle. It did not automatically make the trip, would only be sent if called for. However, my Canadian cell phone doesn't work in the US, so I had no way to call. Ended up waiting an hour, then taking a taxi for $40.

When we got there, the hotel is under remodulation. Staff were really friendly. They assisted us with 2 queens bedroom instead of kingsize bedroom due remodulation of the rooms. The rooms were clean, bathroom as well. Beds were really soft to sleep on! They do have breakfast included but we went to IHOP instead. That’s literally 1 minute walk away. Very close to the airport, very easy when getting back to the car rental to drop off. The morning traffic might be really something but this hotel is just right there. You may send packages to the hotel but 1-2 weeks prior arrival only and the charge will be around $3-$5 depends on the packages. Parking space was easy. Right in front of the hotel.

Although in a process of remodeling, the hotel still provided us with a quiet stay. The free breakfast was a nice plus which we didn't know being included in our order.

The property was terrible and run down. The website picture is very deceiving. The money paid for the room was not worth it. I should have read the google reviews first and I would not have stayed there. I give them a zero rating and no stars.

This was my first time staying here the room and amenities in the room are great, the front desk staff was nice and helpful, but the elevator is super scary. It isn't that it doesn't work well but the old tarnished look inside of it doesn't give a good vibe. All in all the hotel was being remodeled in some way.

staff is so rude! We have been tipping them but it looks like not enough. They dont treat you with respect! We paid for all inclusive we couldnt even eat. We had to go out to eat, they dont clean the rooms well

It was perfect. I WILL go back there again, soon.

Staff was not always available or nice. The price could have been much cheaper for one night and the condition of the establishment.

Renovations were going on and they started very early in the morning. I understand it has to get done but it would have been better had they started when people were checking out if the hotel after 11 rather than 7am

The property key cards weren't working for all rooms and we couldn't get a key for our room. There was no running water for first 4 hours and after that hot water did not work. It's dusty and dirty. Highly don't recommend

My air conditioner leaked over the carpet causing my room to have a stink odor. Also there is a lot of construction going on so the elevators are dirty and lots of jack hammer noises throughout the day.
