A propos de ce appartementrental
Enjoy a stylish Margate stay at this centrally-located apartment in the heart of this vibrant town.
Contemporary 70s vibes throughout, the space looks over historic Trinity Square. Perfectly nestled in between the charming Old Town & trendy Northdown Rd, and moments away from the sea. The Main Sands are 5/7 min walk. The more local Cliftonville beaches with tidal pool & Haeckles community sauna is a 10/12min walk.
Guests are also offered a complimentary croissant/pain au chocolat between 7-10am. Looking forward to making your stay special.
The space:
This grade 2 listed building, within a conservation area, is in the heart of Margate.
The large bay window is definitely the party piece. It's a spacious living / dining area.
There are Margate history/guide books as reading material, a copy of the latest
"Margate Mercury" newspaper, board games & a collection of curious sculptural objects.
The kitchenette has basics with a microwave, toaster & Nespresso coffee machine & milk frother (no cooker/hob).
There's tea (black & herbal), instant coffee, freshly ground coffee, granola and milk provided as well as bread, butter and jams for brekkie.
There's also a picnic basket available for you to eat al fresco on the beach, as well as sweet treats to hand.
The bedroom has another beautiful bay window overlooking the garden. Only the top window opens, so we have a fan for hot days/nights. There's an ironing board & iron, a clothing rail & mirror. The bed is a small/medium sized double, so do bear that in mind when booking if you know you suit a larger bed. There's a Dyson hairdryer & perfume on hand.
Other things to note:
Before booking, it's imperative that you acknowledge that this isn't a hotel. You'll be living amongst locals in a very diverse town - which is to be celebrated in many ways! However, with some of this diversity (accompanied with living as "Airbnb locals") comes a difference in lifestyle and sensibility. On occasion (a rare occasion now), we do experience disturbances from our neighbours.
We're therefore keen to make you aware of this *before* committing to the booking, as it's always sadly a possibility. The walls of this historic grade 2 listed building are thin, so if you are a sensitive sleeper than this sadly may not be the place for you. If you do experience any neighbour disruption during your stay, please notify me and l'll happily offer you a refund on that night - we want to make your stay as positive experience as possible. Just wanted to ensure full transparency and manage expectations beforehand.
Otherwise, it's a glorious location and IS a really quiet conservation area next to the Margate Caves (despite the seagulls)!
When booking please mention you've read & acknowledged "the neighbourhood/ the building notes". Any questions, don't hesitate to ask. X
