Zeer slechte wifi. De verbinding klapte er constant uit. Ontbijt was erg karig.

Food was okay, but we were kicked out of buffet area before (about 10min’s) breakfast time was over. Other guests that showed up weren’t allowed to serve themselves anymore because workers closed the door panels on them.

Our door to our room had a huge gap where any small bugs could fit through. We were also unable to sleep all night because we could hear people closing and opening room doors and we were also given the room next to the door that leads to pool area. In the morning the maids woke us up because they were talking in the hallway. When we reported this incident to the owner of this location, he proceeded by saying we should had mentioned or brought it up to their attention the previous night and gave us points which come to find out the points total a $5 or $10 credit towards another stay when we paid over $200. Very frustrating because we had to look for a different hotel, wasting time from our short weekend getaway. This was suppose to be a fun getaway for my husband’s birthday, but nope didn’t happen and our stay was miserable. Never booking at this property again! I also recorded the doors getting slammed but this site only uploads photos. By the way, it all started around 10p. We were already relaxed in our room, unpacked and our daughter was getting a bubble bath. We never imagined the noises would come in so loud through that gap.

Third sleeping arrangement for the sofa bed was uncomfortable but they brought in a roll away bed that worked pretty good.

This hotel 'Best Western Plus Newport Mesa Inn' is one if not the worst hotel among hundreds of hotels I stayed in the past few years. I'll add some facts here and try to be as objective as possible: Starting with the value for money, it's ridiculous how much expensive this is vs. the quality of this hotel. The carpets are really old and to ensure they can clean them and they're that old, they put a lot of chemicals, for those with some kind of allergy, you can't sleep in the rooms, if you don't have allergy, there is a chance you'll get one if you spend maybe more than a night over there. I booked two connecting rooms and lights were really bad. the lights are sensor operated so you can't keep the lights on, it will be switched off instantly, you can't leave any small lights on during the night and it will be complete blackout. The bathrooms unfortunately stinks, the smell is very obvious and I don't recommend any showers in there, I personally couldn't shower there. I asked for refund but I didn't get it so make sure that you have refundable term there if you really have to book in this motel. Unprofessional staff, the kind of staff that give you the message 'I don't care' which is okay for a motel staff but for a multi hundred dollar night stay, I don't think it's right. Very small windows and absolutely no air circulation, I had to leave the room few times just to have some fresh air. Overall, it was really bad experience. my son got sick and I strongly advise Booking.com to force all hotels to put in some realistic pictures that reflects reality.

the breakfast, the hotel was clean and friendly

I loved that you had all the things you needed. As a big family it was great to have breakfast included in the mornings and then hot the beaches or places to go during the day. Hotel had a laundry room and it was very helpful coming from the beach with wet towels and swimsuits to have them washed and dried! Loved the underground parking for convenience that has an elevator taking you up to the room.

The breakfast room could you a little more cleanliness on the furniture. Food was good and it was great to have that in the mornings :)

The room was clean as well as the bathroom! Beds were comfortable, the lobby was beautiful and I liked that they had free coffee. The free breakfast was so good and the people staffing the cafe were so friendly and professional. Actually, everyone I came in contact with at this hotel were nice, courteous, and professional! I would definitely stay here again!! I hope you can somehow convey my appreciation to the whole team!
