I called twice to let the hotel know that I would be coming in the next morning as I was flying in on a red eye. When I got off the plane I received a msg. That I had been charged a no show. When I arrived at the hotel they told me that I could not check in until the manager got there, 1/2 hour later. The notation was there on the reservation that I was coming in the next morning. Tired and irritated I waited and came back to NO MANAGER. Another staff member said I could check in to another room because the room I booked was no longer available. We had three in our party and there was no way we could share two double beds. I asked if they could give us a room with two king beds, he said he was unable to do that. On NO sleep, I was scrambling to find other accommodations for three adults.

Proximity to airport. Large nice clean room. The waitress who busted her butt running the bar taking orders and bussing tables was AMAZING. She was a real dynamo and never mossed a beat on cover that whole wine bar and food

I booked the hotel for the pool and the pool was out of service. Highly disappointed. My son wanted to swim and was let down by an email stating that it was closed until after we go back to north carolina.

Too difficult to change my booking dates

It was clean and convenient.

The beds and pillows are hard and uncomfortable. The rooms can use some upgrades. The shuttle could be used for short trips within a two to three-mile radius and not just for the airport during the slow season.

Loved the size of the rooms, friendliness of the front desk, and the general decor and cleanliness of the hotel. It's a nice quiet spot, and despite being near the airport, never heard any noise. Good on-site parking as well!

Property is conveniently close to La Guardia, so an option for people who would like to be close to airport. Exterior is nice, as is lobby. There is a bar in the lobby where you can get drinks and sandwiches. Staff was very professional.

On check in, I was issued keys to a room. I went up, opened the door and was shocked to see that the room was already occupied by an man. I went back to the front desk and explained what had happened. The young woman at the front desk was apologetic and I didn’t make a big deal about it at that time. Later, when I had time to sit and think, I breathed a sigh of relief that nothing happened. This mistake could have easily put me in danger. My advice, especially if you’re a woman traveling alone, is to double check that your room is empty. Aside from this, the bathtub was dirty and there clear signs in the room that an upgrade is needed - torn bedskirt, stains on wallpaper, hair in my shower etc.

It was in a good area, easy to get from places but that was about it.

I booked a room with two queen beds and there weren’t any available so they offered us a King with a pullout. The pullout mattress had no sheets on it and was stained, when I asked for a cot/crib there wasn’t one available. We spent the weekend in an unsafe sleeping arrangement with my baby as there wasn’t a queen room available because “they had been booked”. The fridge didn’t work in the room and it was dirty/dusty I had to wipe everything down. It’s a bit disappointing that this place didn’t have any microwave in the room, it seems like a hotel basic and was extremely stressful when traveling with a small child.

The fresh fruit options at breakfast were great. The oatmeal was surprisingly good. Those huge vats never look appealing but this one tasted good. The restaurant was open late for a meal after a long flight. The pizza was decent.

All the yogurt choices at breakfast were presweetened with either sugar or substitute. What happened to plain unsweetened yogurt. I asked and was told that wasn't available.
