The location

The room setup was awful. It was very small and cramped, and the room smelled like cigarette smoke. I booked a room with free breakfast, but when we went down for breakfast in the morning, we were told that our room didn't have the free Continental breakfast included. We had to find and pull up our confirmation email for the employee to believe us. We were also told that they usually only have free breakfast for four people and we were traveling with our family so we had more than that in our group. After that, and seeing how breakfast worked at the hotel, we decided we would rather not eat there, so we checked out and left to go elsewhere for food. We have stayed in a lot of hotels, and this one was definitely one of the worst. I've never had to prove before that my room includes breakfast. Also, the room that we booked included a sofa-bed, and it was so uncomfortable that my mother couldn't even sleep on it. My sister booked a queen room with two queen beds, and when she arrived, she was told that they didn't have any more left and her only options were a king room or a double room with double beds. Needless to say, there were a lot of things that made our stay less than great, and we will never stay at this hotel again.

The staff was very friendly & helpful. Olivia was awesome! The ground floor courtyard side room was perfect location of room. The hotel smelled wonderful.

The shower pressure was very poor.

The facilities were clean and attractive. The pricing was fair, especially for the last minute. We felt safe and we were close to downtown Detroit.

The only thing that could have been better was the noise from the guests next door. They weren't particularly loud, the walls just seemed thin.

The staff was extremely helpful, conversational, and pleasant. The room was clean and perfect for our convenience. I wished breakfast was included because Bistro is way too expensive for me!!!

I didn't like that breakfast was not included. The prices I saw on the Bistros menu were ridiculous!!! Stopped at Cracker Barrel on the way home, my entire meal was equal to the cost of an item on Bistros menu!!!

The hotel was comfortable, very clean, and convenient to the location of the event in which I was participating.

It seemed a little short on staff during a busy weekend, but otherwise I have no complaints.

The hotel is in a good location for access to Detroit and many freeways as well as the Henry Ford Museum. The only negative the breakfast process was not explained at the time of check in, therefore we did not get breakfast, this was refunded, which was appreciated. The pool area is nice but the water a bit chilly. Overall, would definitely consider again if in the area, really liked the first-floor courtyard room.

The only real negative breakfast which was pre-paid was not the typical buffet breakfast, which was not explained at check in, the kitchen closed at 9:30, therefore we did not get the breakfast, the hotel did refund.

They allowed us to check in 15 minutes early. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful in showing us how to get to our room. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. Also, the room had a balcony which I thought was very cool. I would stay here again, if I were in the area.

They only had feather pillows, which I don't prefer. We didn't have a chance to try the restaurant inside the hotel, so I'm not sure what the food is like.

The room is large, the place is quiet, the staff is friendly, and it is close to the city center
