the lobby was nice the bar very spacious hotel. In walking distance to different things
No microwave in the room. I feel as big this hotel is to share one microwave in the lobby is tacky. I stayed at hotels that were not as nice and it had a micro in the room which made it accommodating.

General feel was just standard, for what you get you could go to another hotel for a lower price. Room was average. The hotel is very busy so the rooms you can hear everything through the walls, many families so you just hear kids all the time. At busy periods you’re queuing for the lifts.

The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The location was convenient to the convention center and local restaurants…we could walk everywhere. The room and hotel were clean. The beds were comfortable.

Bed was comfortable. The room and building in general were clean. Bedding was decent quality. The first two day shift staff were very helpful.
The toilet made noises randomly all night. The alarm clock was set to 5:30am and woke me up. Towels were very poor quality. Television barely worked but complimentary channels didn't at all. Had to pay for usable internet. The staff did not look up from their registers when I left. Or they were in a group talking to each other. Convenience shop in Lobby overpriced. Will try somewhere else in Richmond next time.

The room was nice except our phone wasn't working in the room, so no room service etc...Everything else was good. The location was great! In walking distance to several restaurants, although there is a restaurant and Starbucks at Marriott. We were intown one-night for VUU football game and enjoyed our stay. Will definitely stay again next time in Richmond 😊
The phone or TV not working 😕 They came to fix the TV problem, but I guess they didn't get work ticket for phone because it wasn't fixed.

The elevators were being repaired.. the one that was working was super slow and crowded .. The air conditioning in our room wasn't working that good

Location is good. It’s in walking distance to all the historic monuments. Beds were comfy.
Breakfast was not possible unless booked in advance which the check-in staff didn’t tell us. Parking was hideously expensive. The lifts were broken and one needed to use the service lifts. While the reception area wows the guests, the rest doesn’t.

The Room was amazing. Fairly clean and comfy. A few outdated furniture pieces but it didn’t ruin the room.
When we first arrived the Valet Guy just opened the door while my partner was getting us checked in. He stated that he saw keys and was going to move the vehicle yet he had not been asked to valet the vehicle , didn’t know if we were guest or not but just jumping in someone’s vehicle this is not ok. This was also a little scary. There was a ridiculous line to check in and for the elevators. There were 4 elevators but only 2 that were functional. This was a busy weekend so all the elevators should have been operable. Complete disappointment for Marriott. Lastly when we attempted to use valet it took them 20 minutes to bring our vehicle up. There were a lot of employees yet there seemed to be much confusion and no structure or system.

The hotel was gorgeous and very big. It was nicely laid out. It was very clean. The staff were so very helpful. Oh my gosh the Starbucks was amazing.
The restaurant had poor food. The hushpuppies were disgusting. They needed better options.
