No breakfast...I believe continental breakfast was advertised.

Staff not very knowledgeable about restaurants and bicycles available even though they were right outside my window.

Location, character. Comfortable bed.

No kettle in the room and hot water provided in lobby wasn’t always hot enough to make tea.

The area it was close to everything.

The room had a mold small to it when you enter. The parking was no good. You can hear everything from second floor couldn’t sleep. The mattress you can feel the springs. Was not very happy for the amount of price I had to pay for the room.

Gardens, chanting old world property.

Front office staff at check-in did not even greet us. He was keen to point out that we parked in the wrong spot without telling us where else to park. We were tourists from outside the US, not familiar with the town. First impression not good. Morning breakfast is served on a small table and guests have to get some stuff and then find somewhere to seat from a choice of 4 small tables and a couple of couches. When busy you are expected to eat somewhere else - where? There is a restaurant at the next room, which does not allow sitting for breakfast and you are told to leave because “the linen is not for you”!!! Pity it’s an old charming property, with bad service and attitude. Have to say that the front desk lady at check-out at least smiled. Oh and another man on the second morning said Good Morning…

I likes the architecture, gardens, comfortable bed. The grounds were really pretty and the coffee was good. The small patio outside the room was lovely too!

Room was moldy smelling, there was a large, wet spot on the carpet, and the shower was not draining. Paid extra for a quiet room and it was noisy and along a busy street. The continental breakfast had mediocre packaged baked goods. Was expecting something a little more fresh and local for the cost of the hotel.

Air conditioning too noisy on the first night but they changed my room.

The heater/thermostat in our room did not work. The staff was apparently aware that this was a problem (“that building is finicky”). Offered to bring us a space heater but no other compensation.

Above average "continental" breakfast, nice grounds, and a pleasant sitting area with a fireplace that warmed us on an unusually cold morning.

The sofa in the room smelled badly. Single pane windows let in street noise.
