Good location

Old and run down. My door didn’t shut properly, leaving me subject to anyone accessing my room at any time of the day/night. In need of serious renovation STAT!!!

The room was very clean. It was also not too far from buckroe beach.

The breakfast was not what was advertised. They only had a normal breakfast for hotels. Meaning cereal, eggs, sausage, biscuits, toast and muffins.

staff was friendly and helpful. breakfast was good. the room and hotel were clean and well stocked. they even have free lemonade and baked goods in the lobby for guests.

Well first off let’s start by saying my family and I, which includes husband and 7yr old son are from NC so about a 5 hr. Drive from home, fishing trip with my husband (James river pier) so I go on booking.com figured it was more convenient read a few reviews saw where this location has inside amenities including inside heated pool as well as a inside heated whirl pool I didn’t care to much about the weather this weekend because I figured this could be a win/win for the whole family beacause of the inside pool and whirl pool option mind you my son has never been fishing much so I didn’t know if he was actually going to be participating with my hubby or not. Like before didn’t worry much guess what I know my son loves to swim and knows how too. Y’all we get to this place and the pools are completely down and under construction. Now this place had a “sister” property on the same parking lot. Not the same property but a sister property their pools where up and running and plus had the inside option. Let’s also look at the time of year. It was actually chilly this whole trip anyways our plans were complicated ruined. Let me add the fact that, they kept sending me emails saying that they do not take any deposits on the room until we check in. Got there and my money had been taken off my card so because of policy we couldn’t just end the deal because this was a reserved room. I have never visited Virginia before so I just wanted to ensure a good time for the whole family and was completely let down. Not to mention in our suite room 500 at this place has very low water pressure and would you believe the water stayed cold the whole trip. I thought no way maybe it will be warm in the morning but boy was I failed. Never again. Also we stayed (2)days worst stay ever. Get in the elevator and find out I wasn’t the only person fooled, this poor lady actually had on her swimsuit and was coming from that area going back to her room, she told us same just happened to her.

The lies, being fooled, the fact that they claim they take no money up front, but checked my emails today when I got home and found they took the money the night I made the reservation .Liars ! Amenities are down at this place what a load of crap.

Property is a great location. The staff was nice and helpful. Especially the cleaning lady front my checkout.

The room is outdated. The shower/tub combo was filling up with water as I showered. The lights near the sink wasn’t working.
