The room and grounds were exceptionally clean and well taken care of. The owners were very attentive and accommodating. I was traveling alone, and felt very safe the entire time

I loved the location. It was 1 block away from the beach and the property was nice and quiet (sans the airplanes coming and landing at the base but that's all the hotels in the area). I bought the room for myself and I will say it's a perfect place if it's just you (and 1 other person)! I would book here again given the chance.

Nick, who owns the place along with his wife, was incredibly friendly, helpful and nice! I was coming to town to run a half marathon in Virginia Beach and he kindly answered logistical questions I posed before I even booked my room. Upon my arrival he continued to provide great tips to ensure I had a wonderful stay. To be able to walk across the street to see a beach sunrise was magical.

The bed was really hard and the pillows as well. Everything was awesome except the bed. Also the shampoo was in a packet like a big catsup packet. That was weird. Improve the bed, the pillows and the shampoo and everything is would be perfect!

The room was so clean and the air conditioner worked really well! And from where it’s located, outside noises were non-existent.

The parking area can get a little crowded during some of the busier nights, so plan accordingly!

Connecting courtyard was a nice area, but also was problematic with loud guests.

Loud guests did not use chairs near their room , but chose the ones in front of our room

Immaculately clean room, recently renovated, with good sized mini fridge, desk for computer work. Pleasant staff. Close to beach.

Everything was perfect . On-site staff 24/7 . Very nice and professional. Really recommend this place. Looks better than most hotels

The location was great, the beach is smaller and feels more private than the beachfront at virginia beach which was great for us.

The parking lot is a bit tricky. Theres also renovations going on and they dont care about starting work early, was woken up by the noise of people working.

Bay Inn Hotel is a hidden gem in Norfolk, Virginia. The owners are fantastic people. Half of the hotel rooms are still under renovation, and they have the "Old feeling" However the renovated rooms are looking great and comfy:)
