Black mold in showers. Stains on sheets. The building was not attached to the main hotel & was next to a shady apartment building.

Convenient to the airport! Quaint, homey feel. Nice room, very dog-friendly. Exceptionally attentive hotel staff, and the shuttle driver was terrific and *very* helpful & friendly. This is our 4th stay at Puffin and we really like it.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room in the main hotel was clean and comfy so my numbers refelct that room.

The room on the add on building was small, kept up for what it could be for being old, and not so nice. We couldn't get out of the front of the building as the snow was not cleared--on their behalf this is on the street side so probably hard to keep cleaned. But the ice on the back entrance walking over to the building was dangerous(ok a thing in Alaska I know), but especially with luggage this was not fun. Really didn't like staying in this part of the hotel at garden level, wondered a about my safety but it was only for one fast night and we were out of there.

Airport shuttle was great. We got picked up within 15 minutes of calling to request the shuttle. They did have roll away beds available, and a few options for breakfast.

The bedding that came with the roll away bed had hair all over it. The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. We also got put in the annexed building and it smelled very musty the whole time.
