Nothing… it was a bed to sleep in and not a whole lot more

Stepping over drunk/overdosed people to get to the room. The high murder rate at this hotel in particular… just google it, luckily I was told to do so after my stay. Stay strapped on property at all time.

The place was affordable for what we needed. The room was comfortable. It was easy access by walking to downtown and other areas we were planning to go.

It got noisy at times. Housekeeping would knock in the morning to check to see if we needed anything so we had to request that they skip our room. Found cleaning gloves behind the night stand.

Don't know what was worse, the whole place smelling like pot or the gunshots twice through the night.

The shower did have hot water and good pressure, tv was good size, and they had enough towels so I didn't have to go ask for more.

The toilet seat had burn marks, shower vent had what looked like big dead roaches and straw hanging out of it, the garbage can had no bag in it, lamp shades were a nicotine yellow with yellow spots, light fixtures were dirty, and the outside lights shined through the window so it wasn't as dark as I prefer, the bed creeked when you sat on it as it had spring and not extra cusion on top. By far, the worst part of Birmingham, I was constantly checking out my window to make sure my car was still there, because the vibe I got from this place was that it was a crack inn.
