I booked this hotel by error. Weare traveling south and thought i was in this hotel and was actually 2 hours further south, we were to exhausted to turn around and drive backwards 2 hours Yes 100% my mistake, however when reaching out to try to work out a possible refund or at least a credit on a future stay as we will be driving back north in a week we received no call back or email. I called and spoke to a receptionist and was told her manager was in a meeting and would call me back...never did. I did however receive a text the next morning after our supposed stay asking how our night was ..and this here request asking me to rate the company. Luke we stayed there...which tells me they must pay zero attention to who actually checks in or not as long as the bill is paid. Poor customer service. The room I had was more comfortable than I had expected for it to be. It was very clean and neat, the air conditioning system was amazing, bed and pillows were comfortable(would have liked a little more firmer)....The breakfast options were good as well.

The breakfast was very good and the employees were very friendly! We also like the front desk employee that checked us in.

I really don’t have any complaints about anything! Would certainly stay there again!

The neighborhood

The location was convenient to Roanoke College and downtown Roanoke. The room was clean. The parking was sufficient. The staff was very professional and went out of way to offer help when they saw a need. The breakfast room/buffet area was clean, well managed, well stocked. The water pressure was excellent. The pre-check in communication was excellent as was the check-in experience.

People had definitely smoked/were definitely smoking tobacco cigarettes/weed in the hotel. I really struggled with smoke smell in room-- had to literally cover my head with my blanket when trying to sleep in order to get away from the smell. Other family members were in an adjacent room and did not have that problem. I didn't complain because these days people are nuts, and I didn't want to risk any retaliation. I had the same concern for the hotel staff. Sad, but true. The hotel was adjacent to a rougher area-- some in my party were concerned about our cars being broken into, etc., but really there was no problem in this regard at all.

Usual Comfort Inn facilities except it was a handicap room. Breakfast was fine. The staff allowed an early heck-in as the room was ready.

Small issues really, maintenance can address easily. Water in commode too high. I had to fiddle to get the shower head adjusted to spray in the right direction steadily. Room too small for 3 persons traveling for a month (not enough adequate room for luggage.

Nothing, they had bedbugs!

Comfort Inn Civic Center, Roanoke, VA has bedbugs. They assigned me the first room, the fridge was not working. Had to change rooms after a twelve-hour flight, and I was playing musical chairs trying to find me another room. The Second room had BEDBUGS. See attached photos. I was moved to a 3rd room, but I had to sleep in the desk chair, I didn't trust the place. The manager refused to give me my money back, and She refused to give her name. Cleaning was not good, they are not changing pillow cases nor sheets daily by housekeeping. They hit you with a $25 coincidental fee, but you have to use a different Credit Card.
