Clean. Hotel and staff was helpful …the staff named Lorenzo helped us out getting the Closed caption to work on our TV ( husband is deaf ) he was very nice and polite !
Front desk needs a bell on the counter … had to wait sometimes waiting for someone to hear us …not good for deaf people that stay there they can’t hear people behind the wall. … so he had the make a noise on the counter so I would suggest putting a bell on the counter …

Natalie at the front desk was great and so welcoming. More hotels should have her on their front desk!!
What a pleasure she was.

The lobby is welcoming and inviting. The pool and fitness area were clean and well kept. The breakfast was good and the serving area kept clean. The room was spacious and comfortable.
The only thing I was confused about was the housekeeping policy. We stayed two nights and didn’t get a fresh up.

It’s convenient. Nicely appointed.
The on off ramp so close makes for a noisy evening. The towels were unbelievably thin.

I had a nice stay at Country Inn & Suites. Room was spacious, bright, clean and full of amenities. The check-in check-out procedures were fast and the complementary breakfast had enough variety of savoury and sweet food. The location is not far from Front Royal and the breathtaking Shenandoah National Park.

I stayed at the Country Inn and Suites for a week. I was not sure if my sister could join me so I booked as a solo traveler. This means safety was a priority. For me safety also means a walk-in shower. I was given the room closest to the front desk, handicap accessible. Actually, wheelchair accessible (which I did not need) and close to handicap parking.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. I booked a king size bed. When my sister was able to join me for 3 nights, we decided to just arrange pillows (surely we slept in the same bed when we were kids!) To facilitate our own movements in the room we did not ask to have the room made up but only fresh towels. The cleaning staff might have thought we were nuts, but were very kind about it.
By the end of my stay I had a sense that the front desk knew I was an older, solo traveler and kept an eye out for me.
As a plus the location was close to I 81, but not at the nutty intersection of I 81 and I 66. There were: a McDonalds, Out Back Steak House, 7-11, Cabrerra's Italian Restaurant all within view of the front of the hotel. We were visiting yet another sister and getting to her house was easy, even on dark nights! [Also 2 gas stations.]
I love STRONG coffee and brought my own. The coffee pot was a four cup cuisenart with a cone basket. Perfect! Breakfast was plentiful. It was typical hotel fare, but that never bothers me. Bagels, muffins, scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, waffles, 3 different ways to have toast, juice, etc. So many choices.
There were 3 things that bothered me, both easily fixable. 1. Both CNN and MSNBC were blocked. Only National News was on Fox. This concerned me because I live in Maine and arrived the day after the mass shooting in Lewiston and wanted to see the news on CNN.
Number 2: There was a summer weight comforter on the bed, but it only went waist high. Since it is now definitely fall I would have liked to see one that covered my arms. There was a blanket in the room for me to use. And lots of pillows. Also, we experienced quite a temperature change, from cool to wanting heat to 80F and needing AC. This leads to my 3rd comment.
Number 3: There was no written-on-paper information on how to turn the heat or AC on, nor TV channels. Another easy-to-fix problem.

The location was great, right off the interstate.
The sheets were stained with what looked like blood and there was hair in them. They moved us to another room, but already felt kind of dirty.

The staff was terrific. They really worked with our needs and tried to accommodate all we wanted. The breakfast had many good options. The indoor pool was pleasant though cold. The parking was convenient.
Hotel carpeting always seems dirty. Everything else was clean though. The oatmeal was runny but the biscuits and gravy and the waffles and other choices were good.

Very comfortable / safe stay!
I had to go somewhere else for breakfast, there were no eggs or fruit, and I didn’t want to load my infant up on carbs and junk.

The one staff member working was polite and tried to do her best to fix our issues. The breakfast was great and my kids were happy. It had a pool.
Our room was dirty. Soap remained in the shower and soiled sheets were on one of the beds with hair all over them and what appeared to be soilimg and dirt. It was as if it was made without new sheets being put on. The facilities were fair but run down. When we arrived it smelled of weed throughout our end of the facility and very musty.

The breakfast was great' compared to the last visit to Winchester two weeks before, at a different location!
Staff was friendly and listen to our complaints. But seeing how our comments have been noted before, I doubt
anything will be corrected. Sad, you might get a lawsuit, on these conditions. Just saying'!
On July 22, 7:45 p.m. I made a reservation on line, for 1 night. A total of $ 109.10. Now I'm sure that the $ 100.00 on July24, 3:39p.m. will be credited back to me, Yes? Love a desk chair on wheels, BUT you need to put a rug under it, so when a person goes to sit down it doesn't! take you for a ride! Thank God the bed was there, I almost fell!!!
Also, most important!!! I got to say the bathtub was exceptionally clean 'kudos' to the cleaning staff. ( I had my own business, cleaning , for over 15 years) BUT, taking my shower was a nightmare!!! my sister and I are over 70 years young. If I had known I had to put a towel down inside the tub before showering I would have. I could have slipped and broke my neck!!! Thank God my sister was there to help me. FIX THIS PROBLEM!!!!!! Oh and you might want to replace broken tank cover on toilet, it was already broke when we got there, even took a photo of it. Thanks for the opportunity to tell you in writing things that should be corrected.

The room was not clean, floor tacky, had an odor and there were dirty towels under the vanity in the bathroom.

Location was really good. Lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Hot breakfast was good. Sausage, eggs, fruit and cereal available as well as a waffle station.
First room had a large swath of someone’s hair on the bedspread. Desk clerk apologetically moved us to another room which was immaculate and sans hair! The duvet that was between sheets was very lumpy in both rooms making the bed look unkempt or poorly made.

I was traveling solo and felt extremely safe here. Quiet but conveniently located near restaurants and convenience stores. Quick drive to downtown Winchester. Super comfy bed. AMAZING STAFF!

Pet friendly, clean, good breakfast, convenient location
Minor inconvenience was door key needed reprogramming repeatedly. Since we were on first floor, near desk it wasn’t a big deal.
