Laura the manager was exceptional at your Carlsbad California location

Absolutely nothing!!!
From the lobby to the elevator, all the way down the hallway to the room was dirty. The hotel is in much need of repairs, replacing furniture and a good good cleaning. I got two rooms for the night and the toilet was not working in one of the rooms we went down to tell the receptionist and she said unfortunately, they did not have a maintenance person on the premises. At that time. Are you kidding me? There was a lady there that was talking with her before we arrive to tell her about the situation, that lady suggested that we use a plunger. The receptionist did change the room to a different room didn’t make a difference. The hotel was in such a bad shape, we just couldn’t spend the night. Got my family and left.

Rude staff and dirty floor in the hallway.

The staff was good and trying so hard, but with 350 rooms, they needed more help.
This use to be a great location but now the area is pretty seedy.
The property was very dirty, very understaffed, and the carpets were disgusting! Also there were squatters living on the second floor that at times were soliciting money out front. Evidently management has to go to court to remove the squatters.

Location.
Amenities were really old and looked, felt like yard sale items. There was no blow dryer, shampoo, or conditioners. I could have asked for items at the front desk but these should be standard.

Nothing other than close to Legoland
Dirty and not safe

The property was ok, they cancelled our reservation for no show after 1am, we arrive at 2am due to our flight being delayed. They couldn’t rebook us. We were homeless for a couple hours and to find a new hotel to stay at.
Was at the front lobby for a couple hours trying figure out why they cancelled our reservation for no show after 1am, we arrive at 2am due to our flight being delayed. They couldn’t rebook us. We were homeless for a couple hours and to find a new hotel to stay at.

They allow dogs and the property is very walkable to all of Carlsbad village. Check in was easy and I was not able to hear the freeway from the hotel room
I booked a king room but when I arrived they said there were none available. Instead I got a room with two full size mattresses. The hotel could have been cleaned and the rooms need updating

property seemed like a homeless shelter with broken down cars and people laying in the side walk doing drugs. The room was ok but dirty.

We arrived to the property and were told our room had not been paid for yet. I had the conformation and charge on my phone showing it was confirmed and paid for. They continued to argue that I had to pay for the room again. After about an hour going back and fourth they finally checked us into a room. Not to mention this employee was not wearing Hotel attire, in fact he was wearing a shirt that said “40’s and Shorties”. There was no manager on site and the employee kept stating he didn’t know what he was doing. At around 5:00 AM we were woken up by a man in our room that was not wearing hotel attire. He stated he found one of our room keys in the lobby. This didn’t make any sense considering I had both copy’s of the keys made, sitting on the night stand. The man continued to stand at the door explaining why he was entering our room. The hotel never acknowledged that this was an issue all we received was an insincere “I’m sorry”. Later that morning we received two different calls from the front desk reminding us to leave our room before 11:00 AM. This was hands down one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. No one should ever have access to someone else’s hotel room and be able to walk in at any given time.

close to freeway..
weed smell across the property, even inside the room.. on top of that air conditioning didn’t work in the room , it’s blowing dry air.

The location is good.
The rating on this property has really declined in my opinion. I’ve stayed here many times in the past, but it’s currently being overrun by the homeless scene. State-sponsored individuals are taking up residence here. The hallways are messy with sticky floors and dirty, filled with trash, dirty diapers, and a variety of smoke smells. The tub and sink in our bathroom was plugged. The tub was cleared out after a day, but the sink was blocked the whole time. It had black tar like substance coming up from the drain. We were told we would get some sort of compensation, but that never happened.

Location and had kitchen
Refrigerator looked like the outside hadn't been cleaned for a while. Took 3 tries to get working coffee maker. Shower curtain rod barley attached to wall. Been to this hotel a few times, not as nice overall as it has been. Don't know if I will book in the future. Luggage carts had flats making hard to roll

Absolutely nothing
carpets had stains, room we stayed in wasn’t clean had makeup on mirrors the nightstands were filthy, smelled like smoke the minute we opened the door to our room. the elevator went down twice, people screaming and fighting outside our window one night the next day police cars, and ambulance went over. we bought chlorox wipes to clean and air fresheners. we couldn’t get another hotel at a decent rate because of short notice so we had to drive back home for a four hour drive.
