Beds were comfortable, breakfast was good. Living area was very nice. The off hours snack selection was fair, but the drink selections was very good. The staff and administrative personnel were top notch.
The bathroom was extremely small and difficult to move around in. The standard coffee cups were on the small side. The TV did not work in the living room .

The house was cute and close to campus. So that was great.
The bed was uncomfortable. Bathroom floor missing tiles, the sink slow draining. No fan in the Bathroom so you had to open window. We were on the first floor and heard everyone stomp up and down the stairs as
Well as those talking in kitchen. So wasn’t quiet. The house flies a Japanese flag! No American flag..which was a surprise since we are visiting Williamsburg. Lastly. My husband got me coffee and when I wanted to heat it back up in the microwave I was greeted
By someone serving the breakfast asking me what I was heating up. When I said my coffee he replied that it was fine if I like scolding coffee. Really. Will not stay there again.

Upon arriving to the inn we were met by Alex who gave a wonderful run down of the property. He explained everything throughly and let us know if we needed anything how to reach him. He engaged in conversation regarding why we were visiting and even gave wonderful dinner recommendations. We enjoyed our stay as it felt very homey and will definitely stay again if we’re ever back in the area!

directly across from the College of William and Mary, walking distance to historic village. lovely common areas.
Room was “bedroom” size, so small, but we anticipated this and it was not a problem.

The best part of Cedars of Williamsburg are the host, Alex, and his sidekick, Leroy. Alex’s jokes every morning made me laugh. He rivals any tv talk show comedian. Leroy is friendly, gregarious, welcoming and thoughtful.
The rooms, decorated in colonial style furnishings, are very attractive.
The B & B is so close to William and Mary campus that we easily dropped off our incoming freshman there. Then we could explore the campus without having to drive our car.
Breakfasts were delicious! Different every morning for our 3 day stay.
Thank you for a delightful visit!
The bathroom for our suite was very small.

Location and the quaint nature of the property. Alex was a fantastic host!
Beds were a little too hard in order to achieve a good night’s sleep.

The location is perfect! it’s a 10 min walk to Colonial Williamsburg. So you can park your car in there and then go for a nice stroll.
The breakfast was delicious, but not enough, it would be perfect if they added some oatmeal or cereals.
The room was cozy, I was afraid it would be cold at night but it wasn’t.
Bed comfortable.
Cleaning.
They offer some snacks (cereal bars and chocolate) and you can have tea or coffee 24/7.
I am a person that likes to keep to myself, so breakfast time might feel a bit nosy for some introverts. At the same time, it’s the nice experience of staying at a B&B, but I guess it’s up to each one. Nothing too intrusive, though.

Our host,Leroy, was so welcoming and helpful with our bags, house tour, local places of interest, great restaurants and serving breakfast! The food was delicious and the bed slept great. Of course it could have been we were so tired from all the wonderful sights and food that sleeping was no problem. The location was great for walking. Would definitely come again the the Cedars. Beautiful house and setting. A&L
I am 71, so the walk way required my attention more than a younger person. The bricks and stones on the walk and driveway were a little uneven; but I just watched my step! Other than that I have no complaints.

Alex is awesome!!! Great host, personable, funny, and a joy to talk to. The house is very well appointed and very "homey" feeling. Breakfast was great. The location is great as well. just a short walk to Colonial Williamsburg and a variety of restaurants.
It was my wife's birthday and Alex helped me out by getting her some roses and chocolate at my request. She loved it. Also, Alex gave us a room upgrade as a birthday gift. This was unexpected and awesome as well!!!!
Nothing really.

Location was amazing! Easily walkable to Colonial Williamsburg and across the street from William and Mary. Building was beautiful, parking was plentiful. Grounds were lovely, although we didn't get to enjoy them as we were there in winter.
Alex and staff were delightful, and breakfast was delicious. The room itself was well-decorated and what you would expect from a period-style B&B.
Mattress was soft and uneven, and the bed was so squeaky (I mean REALLY squeaky) that we couldn't turn over without waking ourselves and each other up. It seems like a small and easy thing to correct. There was no TV in the rooms! We are not big TV watchers, but we came on New Years Eve with the intention of watching the semifinal Bowl games, only to find there was no TV. There was a small TV in the common room, but our goal was to avoid close contact with other people due to Covid, which meant that we couldn't use that room or find another local bar or sports bar to watch the games. This caught us completely by surprise, as this was the first B&B we have ever stayed at without TV. Like the bed, this seems like a small thing to correct. TV's are pretty inexpensive these days, and wireless cable connections would prevent major rewiring in an old home.

Breakfast was great and Alex was attentive and gracious. The bed was comfortable.
The room had a spacious closet but no drawers for unpacking clothes. A small chest could fit in closet.

Alex was an excellent host. He went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. The entire staff was friendly and helpful from beginning to end. Breakfast was excellent. Truely enjoyed chatting with Alex at breakfast. Highly recommend this B&B.
We had no problems during our stay. It is hard to find problems when the staff is so accommodating. It made for one of the best B&B experiences my wife and I have had.

The property itself was lovely. The furnishings were beautiful.
The electricity situation is problematic at best. I could barely charge my cell phone.
The parking lot is very problematic if you drive anything bigger than a Ford explorer.
I would have liked to have been able to communicate with the owner or manager of the property. I really had no idea what to do or how the deal with being in someone else's home. And it really did feel like I was in someone else's home... On many levels that would be wonderful but you are sort of left to your own devices. I felt like I was in some murder mystery, lol , I was waiting for Colonel mustard to come out of the library with a candlestick holder. It felt more like a sleepover than I hotel stay. That might have been wet other people were looking for, it left me wanting more.

Cedars was exceptional. Being an old colonial house it was very well kept and to expectations of the time period. The owner and staff were great. Alex, and Leroy both took time to answer questions as well as interact with all the guest. Refreshments and snacks are readily available all day and night. There are rooms to fit everyones needs also. Breakfast was handmade and amazing each day, and the asked for champaign was brought when we were taken to our room (my fault as I asked right before we arrived, but accommodated all requests).
Maybe an extra blanket for chilly nights, but that might be our fault for not asking.

The beds were great. Breakfast was very good. Leroy was fantastic!! Made our stay outstanding! So kind and professional! I wish more people were like him in the world! Alex was very interesting.
We stayed in the George Washington room. Bathroom was extremely small. Glad my 6’3 husband didn’t come. Need more tables and room in dining area. Need more towel racks/hooks. We had no place to put wet bath towels.
