The people that ran the place were very friendly and they made sure you were happy with the room and the service. They spoke very friendly to people. The place was clean.

A little short on the variety for the free breakfast. So never ate there.

Breakfast was terrible. No senior citizens discount, or AARP discount, disappointed in that, very disappointed.

The location is perfect for getting most anywhere in New Braunfels. The room was clean, quiet, AC worked well. The bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly.

The room had a faint, but detectable cigarette odor. The hallway had a musty smell. The breakfast consisted of toast, cold cereal, muffin, fruit juices and coffee.

The hotel was muggy when we arrived (they said they were cleaning the air conditioning system) and the entire lobby was in disarray. The room was atrocious, and hadn’t been cleaned prior to us getting the keys. There were half empty beer cans behind the nightstand, was a hole in the ceiling in the hallway with a bucket catching whatever was dripping out of the hole, the toilet seat looked like it had dried pee all over it…I could go on and on (and have pictures to show all of this. The kicker for us though was the roaches…that was it for us. We booked another hotel and left.

Mattress and pillows were uncomfortable. The bathtub -shower are slick. Air conditioner/heater on timers. You had to get up to go reset.

Absolutely horrible! So many things wrong...toilet would not flush, lights weren't't working, ac was iffy . The facility did non have secure doors at night...or any other time but operator said it was very VERY safe. We left as soon as we woke up and there was no one at the desk at 6 a.m. do not send anyone there! It should be a felony to allow THIS facility to be listed... this was 1st time of using booking .com! WILL NOT make same error again!

first they charged an extra fee for using a credit card to pay for the room. I called multiple times to the front desk for clean towels and no one answered. there was what seemed like a dead insect on the restroom.floor.

Thought the beds were comfortable and the room was clean (there were a couple things I mention in the "didn't like" section, but I would still consider it clean). Quiet and safe. They are even flexible about pool hours if you are quiet. They allowed us to checkout later in the afternoon for a very reasonable price (I like to ask for this morning of checkout to see how accommodating a place is, when they aren't busy).

I told them I had a service animal and didn't charge pet fee but did charge cleaning fee. Im not gonna get into the rights and wrongs of that, just be aware, if that's something you're gonna fight, probably just book someplace else. The door to our room had a weird laminate patch in the middle of it and it was kinda warped in the joints and where the locks screwed in. You could see the inner woodish stuff. Like I said, the room was clean, but the bathtub had some stains and scratches (not like disgusting ones). We had to plug the drain with a washcloth to take a bath and if you looked up the ceiling paint was puffing and peeling with a patch. There were also 2 large chunks of wallpaper torn off on each side of the mirror (again you have to look up). At eye level it was great, except for the drywall dust on top of the hair dryer. I did see them working on another room close by, so maybe this one is on the list too. I wrote all that off no problem because i was in a dog friendly room, until I remembered I paid a cleaning fee with no argument or complaint for a service animal. So no write off there. Floors, carpets, and beds were still good though. My kids were really bummed about the pool/hot tub. The hot tub was cold and broken and the pool was too cloudy for them to swim in (take note that it was my children that made that determination, not me). It was milky, but I didn't have to say a word; it was a no go. Because pools are the reason we pick a hotel, we probably won't be back.
