Gute Lage. Prima parken.
Waschmoeglichkeit ausserhalb des Badezimmers??
Alles machte einen Eindruck, als ob es reichlich antiquiert ist. Nicht unbedingt mehr 2024 entsprechend.

It was very clean and the beds were comfy. Loved the outdoor area. Will definitely be staying here again.

Location
Rooms were dirty and fridge was old

No hot water. Leak in bathroom, mattress made you roll to the middle of the bed.

The staff very friendly! 😉
Mold in bathroom. Hair on towel hanging over side of tub. A/C dirty, probably needs new filter and cleaning.

Location. Quiet

Location was good
Old, stuffy, and smelly. Dirt on the floor. No maid service

Room was functional, including a nice table with chairs and wifi so I could log on for work as necessary. Refrigerator and microwave were also convenient. Nice pool. I also love Chincoteague in general and appreciated the location of this property, walking distance to downtown and the commercial strip and easy access to Assateague.
Room was a bit musty, which I know is hard to prevent in the heat and humidity. Ditto to the flies that came in when I tried to keep the door open to air things out a bit.

Parking bathroom are very small.

I liked the location, we could walk to stores, restaurants.
I didn't like they put guest with young kids on the upper floors.

Sheets seemed clean and there were no bed bugs.
The carpet was so dirty we could not remove our shoes. Cob webs in the shower. Musty smell. If we hadn’t arrived so late, 10 pm, I would have looked for another hotel. We were in and out in 8 hrs.

We chose the Chincoteague Inn Motel because of its central location in town and ease of travel to the beach and other attractions nearby. Our room was very clean. The facility does not offer free continental breakfast but does have a screen house for picnics outdoors (with purchased food) -- needed due to the very buggy conditions in the summer! The seasonal outdoor pool was a welcome way to cool off after a day of exploring.

Room to small, bath room is tiny, stairwell not lit up. Pictures are misleading.

It was close to the wildlife refuge. However, the inn was a lot more rundown looking than the pictures.
We were placed on the second floor with no view, and next to noisy drinking neighbors who talked loudly and played music outside their room. It definitely didn’t feel worth the price.

No breakfast offered.
Cleaner carpet and bathroom. A/C stopped working correctly on the 3rd night, was freezing in the room, tried to turn the temperature up/unit off… had to unplug it. Ice maker stopped working. Employee walked into our room to fix A/C next morning, he did not knock first nor apologized for walking in unannounced. We left a day early, list the money for missed day.

There was no breakfast.
There was no elevator. When we asked for maid service we had trash emptied and towels placed on the table. No coffee refills and they didn't make the bed!

The location was great and staff was very friendly, beds were comfortable. The building and rooms are dated, not so much that it was unbearable, but enough that it was the most convenient of rooms - frig and microwave were in the closet, paint was peeling in the bathroom, mismatched lamps, the a/c you was not sitting correctly/crooked and was very loud
while sitting on the couch, I dropped my book off the table next to me, picked it up and noticed A LOT of dirt behind the nightstand, bed and couch, not a thorough cleaning job

Great location with excellent food options within walking distance. Comfy beds, great water pressure, nice pool, and a communal kitchen space.
Aside from replacing dirty towels, they do not offer turndown service or daily maid service. Booking.com needs to make it mandatory to announce this…the entire reason we book a hotel is so that we can come back to a cleaned room amd a made bed! Otherwise, we would have rented a house on the island at a MUCH cheaper rate.
Also, They removed an item from my room and never found it!

the shower was so filled filthy I couldn't use it

Location
Antiquated, overpriced for what it is, the pool extremely dirty, pool decking a complete hazard with screws sticking up and boards collapsing.

We liked the availability of ice for drinks and coolers. Large fridge for a hotel room.
The rooms were not cleaned properly prior to our stay. When I looked under the beds there was trash, and what looked like food crumbs. Also an entire book left by a previous guest. The daily maid service also didn't clean very thoroughly. We noticed the bedding was the same when we came back and had not been changed. The way we knew was because one sheet had a particular stain that my wife noticed and it was the same sheet as before. Vent cover on the bathroom fan is very dusty.

Proximity to walk to restaurants and shops. However, that was tricky as the traffic lights offered no cross-walk capability (no cross-walk lights) you ended up dodging cars. This is not the fault of the hotel but the local municipality for allowing this.
Terrible parking conditions...very few places to park if you can even find one when the hotel fills up. Be prepared to drag your stuff from "overflow" parking up a flight of steps to your room. (could not find an elevator...maybe one maybe not).
A/C was hard to stabilize...set a temp and it would get cold. Back it down and you would get hot...it is like the unit could not control the temp. The room is small to where the air blows over the bed.
Toilet was like something someone bought from an elementary school. It was really tiny and maybe the smallest toilet in the world. It still worked though.
The bathroom was very small as well, maybe 24 inches from tub to door. The tub felt like you were going to fall thru the bottom into the apartment below.
The units in the hotel were NOT sound proofed. You could hear anyone walking around above you if you were not on the top floor. Also, enjoyed the idiot drag racing at 2 am in the morning going one way and the return drag at about 4am...there was not much to dampen that sound.
The beds were worn out long ago, beginning to form a bowl where you sink in the middle. If you sleep alone you may be ok...except for your back.
Over-all the price was crazy high...$200/night as compared to many hotels I have stayed at...will never happen there again...but the other hotels looks to be about the same. So if you want to stay on the island, fork out more money for a high end well built place...I just do not know where that would be.

The staff was very accommodating. The ac broke the first night and the staff was quick to upgrade us.
