No pool. Took all night for our room to cool off. Our room was an extremely long walk from front desk. I have back problems

Bed, TV and kitchen were very nice. The van driver, Will Smith, was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable.

The shower was open, which meant it was always cool.

The A/C unit made a buzzing noise the entire time which made it difficult to sleep

The rooms itself is a great size, it literally has everything you need in one space! I love a spacious bathroom and the shower set up is amazing! The hotel is in a great location as well!

Very friendly personnel

The parking service the hotel uses is complicated to pay and sent phone alerts on my phone about payment in the middle of the night….completely unnecessary and it disturbed my sleep. For this reason I will not use this place again.

The rooms had everything we could need, kitchenette, great beds, efficient use of space. The facility also offered breakfast which was more than adequate, and there is a gym and pool that we did not make use of. The staff was great!

The breakfast could always be a bit better, and I prefer to not pay for parking. Otherwise it was great.

Location was very convenient to Duke East Campus, Main Street Durham restaurants, groceries, and attractions, and Duke Medical Center.

Front desk was helpful and amenities were good. Kitchen cooking supplies were very good. Cleaning attendants did not speak English, did not come to clean the room (despite NOT putting the tag on our door that says to skip the room today). We had to find a cleaning attendant around 3pm every day to get replacement linens, trash emptied when needed, toilet paper (we ran out!). So our room was not cleaned for our entire 4 night stay. If we had not provided our own coffee/tea and creamer/sugar we would have been forced to ask for those every day as well since no one came to the room to replenish anything. Fortunately the shower supplies are dispensers inside the shower so those don't run out quickly. The toaster only worked if you held down the button. The microwave stopped working on 4th day. I had horrible allergy symptoms within hours of being in the room. I have pet allergies and my body reacted as it does when I visit the home of someone with pets (dogs or cats). The hotel does allow guests to bring pets (we saw quite a few during our stay). In fact, the carpet on the platform of the luggage cart that we used for taking our luggage to and from the room was covered with white 2 inch dog hairs on the day we checked out). I did ask the front desk if there were designated rooms or areas for pets and was told "No, they pay $100 to bring pets to a room". This could mean allergens are spread into every room. Simple cleaning by vacuuming and wiping down surfaces does NOT clear allergens. Steam cleaning of carpet and furniture must occur; even then it is difficult to rid them completely. This could explain why my allergies were so bad while staying there. I had to go to the pharmacy to get more medication and had to use inhalers (which I only use every few years!) in addition to doubling my regular allergy meds. Overall it was a disappointment for the price and compared to all other Marriotts we've ever stayed in,
