Rooms and bathrooms were well appointed and roomy. Beds were comfy.

Valet was a little rude.

every day that maid service was in my room, it was left DIRTY. They did not clean up any items that clearly should have been thrown in the trash, both of my bed side tables were left dirty, the mini-bar was left with used creamers (that I forgot to throw in the basket but clearly should have been thrown out), minibar was never replenished but left with the empty bottles that the treats came in, I left them empty on the mini-bar for recycling purposes. It is very strange that cleaning staff would make my bed, yet not clean side tables or throughly vacuum the floor. The bathroom was left dirty, the sink was not wiped clean, and I was left with a single towel. I have stayed at cheaper hotels in smaller cities, and never had a dirty hotel room, I was shocked to come back in after a long day to a dirty room. Another HUGE drawback is the very small hotel lobby that is sandwiched between two restaurants (both very good) which makes the lobby a congested mess. It was extremely upsetting to constantly have to maneuver through people either going to eat at the other restaurants, retrieving their car from valet or just hanging out in the lobby waiting to go to dinner. It is extremely LOUD with too much commotion. I couldn’t tell if I was in a restaurant lobby or the actual hotel lobby, strange design and very inconvenient. Half the time, no one was really covering the front desk especially late night it seems that no one is around, it almost felt like the restaurants were running the hotel I have no idea it was a strange disorganized mess. Lastly, the front desk design is also very strange, it looks more like an chef’s open kitchen, and people are always congregating around it that are not guests. It abuts the Local Jones restaurant so it is like a hang out with people gathered there just talking and socializing which translates to “you will be ignored” and contributes to the tumult and noise (VERY loud)..

Habitación pequeña con un enorme tocadiscos, armario de ropa pequeño y poco espacio para guardar ropa. Faltaba un espejo de maquillaje/afeitar. El hotel no tenia adaptador para enchufe europeo. Había una ventana entre el cuarto de baño y la habitación de tal forma que al encender la luz del baño se molestaba a quien estaba durmiendo en la cama.

The hotel is lovely and the staff was friendly. Our room was spacious and had a lovely view. It was walking distance to Cherry Creek Mall and to the Denver Botanic Gardens.

We stayed at the hotel 5 days and on the 1st day we reported that our sink was slow to drain the stopper did not work. It was finally "fixed" on the 5th day according to staff. The drain still was slow and the stopper had been replaced but still didn't work. We were surprised by our bill and all the taxes that we had to pay on the room - most were for being in the Cherry Creek area which is lovely but not worth the extra taxes. UPDATE: The Halcyon did refund some of the taxes and fees that we incurred. They also apologized for the delay with the sink. I appreciate their quick response to our survey and would recommend the hotel after asking what the total fees would be.

The additional amenities of the roof top pool and hot tub, able to view the Mountains in the distance, walkable community within the 16 blocks, close to the Natural Museum of Science and the Botanical gardens, they have a car to be reserved to transport you within 3.5 miles, they also have a "gear garage" room to check out bicycles, umbrellas, cameras, games, records for the record players in the rooms, some rooms have an incredible terrace, the comforts were endless. Loved that skateboards and scooters were complimentary to use! Loved the swimming pool on the roof.

Very convenient location in Cherry Creek near shopping and restaurants. Bed was comfortable. Room was quiet. Hotel seems to be aimed at a younger, trendy clientele and the decor matched that. Room size was good.

Trendy decor is not enough when some of the basics are not there. I could see from when we opened the door that the foyer that not been swept 100%, then there was a bit of kibble on carpet, perhaps from a previous pet guest? Also leftover was a baby or dog toy easily visible under furniture. Perhaps the the room turnover could have used just a bit more time? We had to call maintenance at night because after showering the water was standing still around my ankles. They came and mostly fixed it with the tools they had available, so my spouse could shower which we appreciated. The room was almost $500 for one night, and it may have had a record player, but it felt overpriced for our experience.

communication between Booking.com and the hotel did not seem to work. I modified my reservation in January from 3 nights to 2 and the hotel claimed they did not receive that change. They tried to charge me a no show charge for the night I had cancelled in January but fortunately I had the emails showing the changes to the reservation and they removed that charge.

Stayed here as a staycation. Since we are denver locals, didn’t feel the need to take advantage of the nearby attractions but instead just enjoyed the hotel. Especially the rooftop pool!! Great views up there.
