We liked the location and size of the cabin

Location - being inside the park is a great plus, and the actual cabin was right at the start of the magnificent Chilnualna Falls Trail and close by the swimming hole. The Pine Tree Market is a fantastic little general store with kind and knowledgeable staff. Most of all it is so quiet; haven't slept that well in years.

In the property itself we were shocked on arrival to find no A/C when it was 90F/32C outside. To be fair the online info said nothing about A/C but you assume anywhere in California would have it. We managed to cool it down with opening doors and windows and using a ceiling fan and then it cooled off dramatically over night. As we were packing up we discovered some mobile aircon units in a closet! Would have been useful to know about those when we arrived. More generally it would have been good to know about the lack of places to eat inside the park. The online info gave the impression that there was some choice but in truth everywhere has staffing issues and so shuts early or has no capacity. Thanks to the Pine Tree Market we did well self-catering but it would be better to know up front so that you know to pack groceries.

Very friendly ladies at reception. The cabin was huge but very homely. Lovely walks in the immediate vicinity, and convenient enough for visits to the Valley and Mariposa Grove, must sees both.

The local store and the stores in Yosemite Valley were very expensive so stock up well before you get there

It was like home. a very calm and cozy cabin.

the only thing i would change would be the heaters. at night they can be very annoying.

Furniture on the deck was dirty. No dishwasher. No air conditioning

Fast check in. Great location. Lots of space in and around the cabin. Small supermarket nearby.

The wifi didn’t work nor did the telephone and for the entire stay. The property manager was likely aware of the issues but pretended it worked well prior my arrival. Patio was very dirty. We also had a mouse hiding in the kitchen. Very old furniture in the cabin.
