It was mostly updated and besides the carpet, the rooms were pretty.
The in room air conditioner smelled like mold when it ran and my toddler and i woke up stuffy with sore throats. The carpet in the room looked dirty and it did not appear that they vacuum under the furniture or vanity in the bathroom.

Location was awesome. Clean and comfortable.
House keeping apparently doesn't pay attention to do not disturb doorhangers. Knocking on our door at 8:20 in the morning, banging carts around right outside our door. Laughing and carrying on loudly. We didn't get in until after 1 a.m. Didn't appreciate it.
Also don't appreciate demand pricing. Set a price and keep it that price, regardless of how busy you are. Legalized price gouging is all that amounts to. Don't care who's in town performing.

I needed a staycation and decided to drive 90 minutes from home. Front desk staff was great! Very friendly and personable with their guests. Ample parking spots right near the entrance. Elevator was very quick. Wifi was working great throughout the entire stay. The bed was very comfortable and I was able to get some sleep right away. I've actually stayed at this location before for a work trip. I'm planning on returning again for another staycation. It's close to a lot of restaurants and the interstate (less than 15 miles to Des Moines). I didn't have breakfast but it looked fully stocked as I head out for a day of shopping.
One of the bathroom lights were out (I forgot to mention that at check out) and I thought the AC could have been a little bit better. I just love sleeping in a super cold room - my personal preference.

Quiet area and was on 3rd floor for was nice for the week of getting paperwork and projects done.
The window had not been cleaned as there were nose prints on it and the strip below the frig came off and shower was dirty. All small stuff and staff is busy so understandable and these didnt affect my stay as they were fixable. The housekeepers do amazing work!! Beds, carpet and desk were clean so that was great and important for an extended stay.

staff is super friendly and very helpful. we had a problem with our tv and they came to fix it right away. we were there for my daughters birthday party. She had a great time.
the pool may have been a little over chlorinated.

The amenities were good and it was super clean.
The shower operation was like no other we had ever seen. There were no instructions. I believe it was broken because my husband and I tried pushing and pulling everything. Because we were in an extreme hurry we did not call the desk. So no shower. When we complained about it at the front desk on our way out the manager was surly.

Your staff were the most attentive and friendly that I’ve come across. I even received a call to my room asking if I found the room to my satisfaction.
The breakfast met my expectations. The hot food was hot and tasty. The dining room was clean.
My wife was very pleased with how comfortable the beds and pillows were, and the cleanliness of the room.
