The cleaner could've changed the towels. The shampoo etc holders in the shower was rusty and rust was on the shower wall. The rubbish bin in the bathroom wasnt emptied.

The bed and shower are of high quality, and the location is hard to beat - right near the train station and a block into town. Staff were very friendly, and helped organise champagne even when the original order was lost (don't respond using Booking.com's email). Good amenities in the room.

The room was smaller than I'd expected, although for some reason the bathroom was bigger. We were only there a night so it was fine, but if staying longer would get a more spacious room. Restaurant was closed when we were there and cafe didn't open before we left, although we live locally and the coffee is very good. Parking is available on-site for free, but we were initially told that we couldn't use it as we hadn't booked directly but through Booking.com (although it wasn't a problem when we arrived, and depending on when you are there there can be plenty of spaces just outside the hotel). A little difficult to work out when we arrived where the reception was as the cafe was closed (go round the back through the parking lot).

our room was right at the level crossing and it went all night. for $300 a night, information regarding noise should be forthcoming. not hidden when you enter a room and see ear plugs. poor form.

everything at a very high standard, especially restaurant exceptional meal, service very good and friendly. Hotel very clean and beautifully presented. A real pleasure to stay there.

The property is just lovely, well located, the restaurant was very nice and breakfast was great.

We had a 2 night stay, the second day when we returned after 10pm the room had not been made up, towels not changed. A staff member from the restaurant was able to get us fresh towels, offered us a bottle of wine which we declined and said he would let management know. On checking out the next morning no mention was made of the blunder, when I raised it the manager said the service staff told her we didn’t want the room serviced and the sign was on the door. This was total rubbish, but the manager needed to side immediately with the guest and there should have been some from of compensation. Handled really badly.

I was in room 19. Lots of noise outside my room (multiple times) as the main external door was outside my room door - other people coming and going. This was the only issue.

The food in the restaurant was excellent although a expensive Staff were lovely and room clean and comfy.

Parking was not undercover although was secure.

the rooms are small & the TV was on the wall adjacent to the bed not in front of the bed which made looking at it very uncomfortable.

The rooms and public spaces are beautiful. So nicely decorated with lovely original artwork and decor to make you feel very comfortable. The chandeliers are fabulous. The decor varies slightly from room to room. Staff were very helpful.

A coffee machine or plunger coffee in the room (15) would have been a nice touch.

A bit of noise from the railway may be noticeable and could bother some people. Recommend people ask for an interior/courtyard room if this is the case

Ambience of a lovely heritage building. Staff all friendly and attentive. Bed really good comfort. Pillows best ever (number and quality), great for reading in bed (yes, we are of that age)! Food in Lola's restaurant exceptionally good.

Outlook of room onto neighbouring office windows not ideal for privacy (a blockout blind is provided, but then no natural light). Window not openable despite being well above ground level. Drinks in Lola's restaurant very expensive.
