Huge room with lots of light and very friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious, they even catered for a vegetarian and children, with a different menu each day of our stay. The staff let us use the washing machine for our laundry and gave us a bag of home-grown rice as we left, which was delicious. Location is close to many good restaurants and not far from the bus stop. We were thankful for our stay and would recommend it for solo travellers/groups without children.

I somehow overlooked that there no toilet in the room. Using a shared toilet is not ideal when travelling with a family... thankfully it was kept very clean. The staff are very kind but generally do not enter the room to clean, which can be tough if staying for a longer period. I would've liked if they would enter to change the rubbish bin/towels etc. Also our room's sink had hair in the drain which should've been cleaned. It takes about 5-10min to walk uphill to the gondola, longer with children/in ski boots ;) The lodge's bath was small yet adequate, however only one of the three showers seemed to have hot water, the other two were very tepid.

it doesn’t have an in-facility onsen, but with so many in town both public and private, and the fact that the hotel is close to them all, this is not an issue

Great location in the village very near the center and one of the public bath houses is only 50m up the street. The room was nice and big with a bar area downstairs in the foyer to relax and get a drink by the electric fireplace. Onsen was also great at the end of days skiing

Pity they did not have a vending machine. Onsen could have been turned on a little earlier so that I was a bit hotter each afternoon when it opened at 3pm

The location was perfect! 5 min walk to Hikage and Nagasaka so we didn’t have to waste time waiting for the shuttle bus. It is close to all the restaurants. There’s a dry room for gear so it’s very convenient too. Rooms are very clean and the breakfast is very very good! Would definitely come back here again.

The host and team were the highlight of this stay. The breakfast is delicious. Close to many good restaurants, ski rentals and souvenir shops. Dry room across the street is a big bonus for those who ski/ board.

It's an uphill walk to Nagasaka gondola.and road can be icy at times. Treated it as my daily warm up!

Central location with a short walk to hotel albeit a little uphill from central bus terminal Close to central location and eating facilities in Nozawa. Excellent japanese hosts will provide shuttle to bus station when requested. Plan to experience some of the public onsens and beware of the hot water!

Limited bathroom & toilet facilities as expected of shared accommodation as expected.

we had a huge room for 4 people in this traditional Japanese tatami style. loved the amazing stuff and they gave us traditional clothing to go to the onsen!

i do not count the number of time I visited this hotel. this is my place to go when in Nozawa! comfortable, great staff, perfect location, quiet.

The room was fantastic with a nice balance between modern while still having some tradition Japanese feel. It was very spacious and the wood trimmed interior had a bright and warm feel. Japanese style breakfast was large and varied from day to day. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Location was super nice for enjoying the town and not too far of a walk uphill to the Nagasaka Gondola station. Great location for access to the onsens, the closest public one is across the street 1 minute away.

Drying room for gear and clothes was spacious but you had to cross the street from the main hotel entrance, it was not far but made it more inconvenient for getting ready in the morning. Parking was a short walk away from the hotel which was not a big deal if leaving your car for the weekend but made it more challenging to keep your car clear of snow each day during those epic snows.
