A homely apartment in the heart of old Monterosso. From the warm greeting to the very helpful departure when I left my backpack locked inside Yrasema was very accommodating. Everything was in walking distance. The stair were not a problem for myself and my friend but could be for some. Comfortable beds. A great home away from home.

Everything was comfortable. Our legs got exercise ascending and descending the stairs! We would definitely come here again.

We (family with two kids (7 and 11)) enjoyed our stay in Monterosso very much. The apartment is perfect, located in the old town part of Monterosso, very quiet, with all the amenities one might need, within walking distance to the center, beach, train station etc. We can highly recommend it to anyone who plans to visit Cinque Terre. The property was just as it was presented on VRBO. It was clean and stocked with anything you could need, whether you are headed to the beautiful beach or staying in for a home cooked meal. We loved sharing a bottle of wine in the evening on the little balcony and in the morning while having cappuccino. It was everything as stated. Great location, clean. Host was excellent, met us at the apartment, recommended restaurants to eat. On departure it was raining and she offered to lend us umbrellas to use for our walk to the train station and meet us to pick them up. Would recommend staying there-even with the 50 steps. We had a wonderful time for four nights in Monterosso. Yrasema was a tremendous host with list of excellent suggestions. 5 stars

This is a great apartment right in the middle of Monterosso. Even if it's central it is very peaceful. The AC works great. The kitchen is very easy to use. I'm not used to gas stove but this one is so easy! Yrasema is the best host ever! She gives great tips and is so friendly and lovely.

Though we rented this 2 bedroom unit, when we arrived there were sheets only on the bed in the larger bedroom. When we contacted the owner, we were informed that since there were only two of us, we were expected to share the one bed and if we wanted sheets for the second bedroom, we needed to pay an additional 20 euro. When the owner was advised that we would not pay, and we would write a critical review if she insisted on the additional payment, she accused us of blackmail. Frankly, in our view, her demand for additional payment for sheets for the second bedroom was more accurately described as extortion. She grudgingly provided sheets the following day, which we had to put on the bed. The only other notable issue with the property is the 50 stairs from the street to the unit. In fairness, we were advised by the owner well in advance of these stairs. However, after 26 hours of travel, (3 planes and 3 trains), these narrow, outdoor, winding, stone steps were backbreaking.

Our favorite restaurant in Cinque Terre, L'Osteria, is a short block away. Wish we had more time to eat there more than just once this trip. We knew about the 50 steps when booking so that didn't bother us. Be careful that some steps are higher than others. Beautiful Cinque Terre (CT) village neighborhood. Short walk to the train to access the other CT villages. Nice stone beach with food and excellent drinks and umbrellas a short walk away. Lots of good restaurants and bars in the neighborhood. The main bedroom had AC and the second bedroom got the AC from the kitchen and there are windows at the top of the walls. The place is small so that worked. The kitchen had the needed appliances but we didn't use them with all the great restaurants close by. The water pressure was good and plenty of hot water in the shower. The shower stall was a little small and you had to be quick so as not to wet the bathroom floor when turning on the water. Close the windows so as not to let the bugs in. I only wish they had blackout curtains so it's not so bright in the main bedroom. I didn't think to see if they had shutters to make it darker in the room. Easy check-in and check-out. Yrasema was awesome. She let us leave our bags so we could enjoy the morning of our check-out before our train departed.

Perfect for a family or friends who need single beds as well as one double (queen size). Great location if you can climb stairs.

Perfect apartment and location, had everything we could want and extras like beach blankets and sand toys! Yresma was the best host!

We had an enjoyable time and our place was perfect. The host was very accommodating and was always available for any questions we had.

We enjoyed our stay, the owner was in contact to help with our needs. The apartment was convenient to ammenities, clean and just what we needed for after staying in hotels. I would suggest that some of the appliances, such as the washer, had instructions on its use in English.

Close to the downtown and beach

Yrasema was an amazing host. The apartment is located within a minute walk to the center of old Monterosso where all the amazing restaurants are. The closets beach area is also just a 5 minute walk. We definitely got our steps in traveling up to the apartment. It's also equipped with AC, which was a huge plus in the summer. Yrasema provided us with plenty of recommendations for restaurants, gelato and excursions. Our stay in Monterosso was an amazing experience and we're so glad we stayed in Yrasema's apartment. A terrific apartment in a terrific location. The unit was exactly as described and the location couldn't be better!

This apartment is extremely well appointed and perfect for a family with kids even though it was just my husband and I. The owner is very communicative and helpful and met us in the square to help guide us up. She has made sure that everything you could need is in the apartment even things for the beach (including toys! and towels), extra toiletries, and clear directions for the washing machine! (Trust me if you aren't familiar with European washing machines that can be very complicated with many settings this is super helpful!) I felt like I was experiencing an authentic and welcoming apartment for Cinque Terre compete with a lovely balcony compete with plants and a table that folds up. The air conditioning is a welcome relief if it gets too hot and the bed is comfortable - my husband is extremely tall and loved the bed! Our host was nice enough to explain the holiday we ended up staying during when we were curious and she even sent us a news clip about it. She recommends restaurants if you need it and is so friendly and kind. I cannot say enough how much I loved being able to stay here and to visit Monterosso al Mare again after so many years. I will say, the walk up to the apartment, like most in the Cinque Terre requires stairs, but that is to be expected and we knew it going in. We loved staying in the old section with amazing restaurants just steps away. It is close to the ferry and the entrance to the hiking trails. The apartment is clean and comfortable.

We had a great time and Yrasema was an excellent host! The property is great, lots of room for our family. Location is excellent, right off of one of the main streets but quiet at night. There are a lot of stairs which was OK for us but could be tough for some folks or those with lots of heavy bags. Communication was outstanding, she had lots of suggestions and even made us dinner reservations at an excellent spot. Best of all, the home is very well stocked with things like coffee, beach towels, drinks, etc. Would highly recommend, and be sure to check out the winery at the top of Via Buranco.

The property was fantastic and location even better. You are immersed into old town Monterosso and yet have privacy. If you want to experience the culture of Cinque Terre this is the place for you. Lastly, the property owner Yrasema was an absolute delight. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable experience!

First, Yrasema is an amazing, happy, helpful hostess. The place was spotlessly clean and fully stocked. There are stairs, but for us, it totally added to the ambiance of Cinque Terre. Yrasema made sure we knew where everything was and how it worked and even made reservations for us for the public beach - which we LOVED. The 2 bedrooms made it perfect for my friend and I to share and it worked out perfectly.

From our first interaction with Yrasema we sensed this was going to be a good experience. She met us at the exit of the pedestrian tunnel and walked us to the apartment, proving tips and insights along the way. She truly made us feel welcome to Monterosso al Mare and the Cinque Terra. The hospitality was exceptionally genuine. The apartment was precisely as advertised, clean, comfortable and very convenient to the old town.

The owner obviously takes a lot of pride in her apartment and has decorated it in a wonderful beach theme. She was personable and communicative. The location of the property is great. The steep stairs were a bit difficult with suitcases, but very manageable otherwise. We really enjoyed our stay there.....and there was a washing machine which was great.

We stayed here for 3 nights in the beautiful city of Monterosso. The apartment is in the perfect location in the heart of the Old town - which is absolutely the best place to be if you are looking for a true cultural experience. The host Yrasema was very helpful and met us when we got off the train - which we so appreciated after a long day of travel. We spent one day at the beach, and loved the fact that we could walk back to our suite if we forgot something. I would definitely recommend this place for your visit to the 5 Terre...... a clean spacious apartment with all the necessities, in a perfect location!
