The Entertainment and indoor swimming pool were excellent, my daughter loved the games room. We stayed in the self catering apartments for a week and I think it had recently been decorated so it was a nice surprise to have a more modern apartment.
The beds they were a bit uncomfortable, and the cooker in the kitchen kept going on and off which drove me crazy when I was trying to cook.

I was alittle disappointed that the meals were mostly self-service. I had expected a greater incidence of table service. However, Joanna and I had no complaints about the meals themselves. The food was almost without exception of excellent quality, full of flavour - always the RIGHT flavour - and with plenty of choice. My compliments to the chef, whoever he is [or they are]. The en-suite was well appointed and things worked. The lighting arrangements also worked well. The staff were courteous and helpful. I should like to know whether the injured seagull I saw in Chestnut Ave. was reported to the RSPCA, but it had gone the next time we passed there.
We might have liked to have sampled the entertainment, but found that, starting at 9.15 pm, it was a little late for us. One more thing - for a TWIN room, we both felt that TWO chairs would have been preferable to ONE chair! Returning tired from a long country walk we really did miss BOTH of us being able to slump simultaneously into chairs for a quiet read and a cup of tea before dinner!

swimming pool for free
The offer included daily cleaning, but unfortunately we didn't have it

We love the resort fantastic for the kids. Entertainment is great.
Having an apartment for a week with no cleaner or bed change. I had to request bin change twice. I had to request a dust pan to try and sweep the carpet. When pulling out the sofa bed it was very dirty underneath. I had to ask for toilet roll twice. I had to ask for refill on tea and coffee . The price o paid and no breakfast included yet other residents paid less and had meals included.

The swimming pools were great, clean facilities. No signs from within the hotel in how to get to them. We ended up going out through a car park in our swimmers. The breakfast was excellent.
The hotel has seen better years. Carpets well worn. Everything well worn. Bathroom well worn but clean. No signs in the hotel. The directions to the room from reception were below par. The room was quite a distance from reception and thus I'd expect more.
Beds were not very comfortable at all. Sheets were clean.

Great location by the sea for 5 days. Large comfortable apartment - comfortable beds and hotnpowerful showers. Great spa / leisure pool. On-site shop was great.
Outdoor pools sadly didn’t feel heated as stated.
Kitchen poorly equipped - luckily we brought our own utensils - but was clean.
Ps Please also provide guests with enough toilet roll and bin bags (none provided) for their stay.
Thanks
Our main issue was Key cards - what a nightmare! We had to go to reception have them changed 3 times every day during our stay. Waste of precious holiday time and very frustrating. The Evening entertainment wonderful for all ages. Would come again if key card issue sorted!
Ps Please also provide guests with enough toilet roll and bin bags (none provided) for their stay.

The breakfast had lots of choice, excellent. Dinner was also good, tasty soups, lots of choice on the salad bar. Some meals were plain. I didn’t expect to see cottage pie on a hotel menu, but was tasty. The spa gave excellent value for money. Well worth pre booking, get a % off prices. The outdoor pool looked nice but I didn’t use it as weather not good enough to go in an unheated pool. Plenty of tea& coffee provided in rooms was nice.
The lift broke down twice, but was repaired fairly quickly. For me climbing stairs 3 floors was an ordeal when it was out of order. Although there’s a map of the outlay, would have been good to know earlier the short cut to other parts of the complex. I did ask 3 staff but they didn’t know. One light didn’t work in my room, not a problem though. Bedrooms hot, but fan provided. The car park was small at the Victoria, I think it would be better if those metal lumps outside the front door were removed, as I scratched my car trying to turn out the car park from the tight spaces. There was more parking at the rear for those not bothered how far to walk.

We loved the swimming pools, soft play and arcade. The location was fantastic
The bed wasn't comfortable and the hotel was slightly out dated.

nice room great facilities close to the town centre

Room was too hot, window was a fire escape leading directly onto the street, so serious security issues, couldn't leave window open.

Not much, the location was good and the staff helpful
Rooms were run down, toaster didn't work, duvet cover was stained, generally tired and unloved feeling.

Lots of things to do
Hotel is a little dated, rooms need updating
There was a private event going on which was where the entertainment was held in the evenings so we were sent to another hotel. I’m not sure many other guests knew this as we weren’t told and it wasn’t made clear, so not many people turned up therefore there was no atmosphere and some of the events didn’t take place.

The location, the breakfast, and dinner selection.the staff was very accommodating and helpful and always had a smile for guests..
Not a dislike ..the only little complain is that the room needed a bit of TLC the wall paper was peeling off the wall in some places ..The carpet in some areas was also frayed and held together with tape.

Location
No heating in appt so cold all week.
Very noisy creaking floor boards from apartment above.
Kitchen not fully equipped.
Sofa not big enough for family
Unfriendly barman called Jack in starlight lounge

Free car parking. Reasonable sized rooms and comfortable bed.
For business stays this property is not suitable. If you have a family or are one of the bus brigade who want a little Hi-de-hi, then you are going to love it here tapping away those feet.

Key problems 3 times
Paid extra for sea view, window had internal condensation that could not be wiped away so no sea view.
Paid extra for Easter holidays price
Pool was cold
Jacuzzi not working for 3 days so we did not get that at all.
Life guards came across lazy just chatting to each other not supervising the bigger pool at the observation chair ( anyone in trouble is out of sight)
Pretty poor really.
We have stayed at TLH Many times, the standard has dropped unfortunately.
Even messed me &my son's room up, booked single beds, got a double bed?
Will I be refunded for the lack of Jacuzzi? No sea view that I paid for? Feel ripped off.
Regards Mr B BRADFORD

Bedding and towels were immaculate. Very good buffet breakfast, lots of choice and as much as you wanted.
Net curtains would have been nice for Privacy. Seagulls a pain but hotel can't do anything about that.

I loved our room, it had a sea view, super clean and comfy beds!
Nothing, we loved everything about it

The size of the apartment was good for the 4 of us. The staff were all very friendly and you could walk around the complex without having to go outside.
The radiator in the lounge didn't work and didn't have a valve on it to turn the heating up or down. More toilet roll would've been useful, and some mattress and pillow protectors would be more hygenic too.

I had an absolutely amazing time. The facilities were amazing. The hotel needs some updating. The roof was leaking outside our room and we had to walk around a bucket to get to our apartment but that didn’t hinder our view of the hotel. The size and expense of the up keep it’s understandable things may not be as easy to repair aswell as the time of year as it was New Year. The staff where all amazing the bar maid from Rome was by far the nicest woman I have had the pleasure of meeting. The restaurant food was satisfactory. They do have two other places to buy food. The pool was absolutely spotless. The room was ok needed updating. The pull out mattress was more like a thick throw.although I have issues I would still go back. Not everywhere is going to be perfect. I paid £620 for 4 nights for 4 people at New Year. You get what you pay for if I wanted 5 star service I should of paid for it. At the end of the day I came home and told everyone I had the best New Year’s Eve in years. I would recommend this hotel at the drop of a hat but don’t expect 5 star. The entertainment on New Years Eve was next to none couldn’t of done better myself

Great family friendly hotel the kids loved the pool, excellent for kids with a arcade, kids clubs and a family entertainment room.
Stopped in an apartment was very dated but clean.
The only negative was the beds mattress you could feel the springs when lying down. Hotel really could do with upgrade on rooms or even put mattresses toppers on the spring beds would help.
