The drives were exceptional, the tent is very well built, big bathroom. The meals were very tasteful. The Road is unpaved but if you go very slow you can reach the hotel with a normal car. The staff is very polite and helpful.

You have to charge your cel in the restaurant/common area, not possible to charge in the tent. You have to pay for the soft drinks and juices. Other than that everything is perfect.

This was one of the most beautiful places we stayed in while in South Africa. The camp is so peaceful and quiet, with amazingly furnished and immaculate clean tents. Both bedroom and bathroom in the tent looked amazing! We arrived - hours before lunchtime and had such a nice afternoon next to the pool outside - and then an elephant came to drink water just a couple of meters away (the camp is not fenced). The game rides with Sam and Caswell were also the best safari rides, they are so experienced and interesting. We manage to see so many animals so closely, cause they knew how to find them. Sam (the guide) provided us with so much interesting information about the different animals that live in the area. All the meals served at the camp were very delicious, and the host Johan was also super friendly and hopeful. It is by far the best value for money if you want to do amazing game rides and after enjoy a beautiful stay!

comfy rooms nice pool great waterhole views

We had an excellent time staying at Shindzela! The tents are perfect and the shared spaces relaxing with great views. We loved hearing stories about the animals that have visited the camp. Sam was a great guide in the bush and gave great Information about the plants and animals. The cornbread the amazing! We would definitely return if ever back in Timbavati!
