Excellent location, rooms were brilliant, staff were so friendly and breakfast was delicious!

Our shower - as a bath attachment we got the floor incredibly wet!

The location - with the proximity to Bath. The staff - all very friendly The room - quaint, pretty and with good wifi. Was topped up with teas and coffees during our stay.

The breakfast - didn’t understand what dietary requirements are. Had to be questioned twice both at dinner and breakfast, even though I specified vegan, I was provided with eggs and was too tired to explain at the time (from a bad night sleep on a soft bed) so transferred them to my partners plate. The pub and room weren’t as clean as I expected. The pub toilet (one per gender) looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks - the sink in particular. The water for the shower was intermittently hot and cold, thankfully it was a hot weekend so a cold shower was welcomed on this occasion. No fans were available in the rooms which withheld the heat due to the shutters being the only thing available to keep our privacy at night. Also would be nice to be offered a sheet set up rather than duvet if it’s going to be a hot summer weekend as it was. In the end for the money we spent and the previous reviews we expected a good standard that unfortunately was not met for our stay.

Fabulous location, beautifully furnished accommodation with everything you might need. Spotlessly clean and staff who were absolutely lovely. Add to that amazing food and you can’t go wrong!

Nothing - it was perfect!

The selection of breakfast and dinner was very good, not too many and not too few. The location is great for those wanting a close but not too close to Bath city centre, albeit the narrow roads. What shone to me was the customer service, especially James who went above and beyond for the guests and made them feel super welcome.

The walls were hollow enough to hear noises from outside, especially those coming into the room next door. However, this is only a small complaint and doesn't affect my experience.

Wonderful inn and pub in a charming, rural village setting. However, it is only 10 minutes from downtown Bath. Wonderful owners and staff. I highly recommend!

Everything about the Inn and the Pub were amazing. The owners were very welcoming and helped us decide on our itinerary the day we left the Inn. They work hard and it shows in everything around the Inn. The room was spacious and clean. We had dinner and breakfast at the Inn and the food was fantastic. Their price points for the stay and the food provide an unbeatable value. The location is not right in the middle of Bath but offers a picturesque environment and is a close couple miles from the epicenter of Bath. We highly recommend staying here and will the next time we travel through Bath, UK.

We couldn’t get in to our rooms on arrival. We had drinks, which were very expensive while we waited.

Highly recommend this authentic country inn in the rolling Cotswald hills, so picturesque and peaceful, we appreciated the quiet location after spending busy days in Bath. A short taxi ride from Bath. Staff, special mention to James, were exceptional in welcoming us, sharing local tips and our room was cosy and had everything we needed. we enjoyed relaxing in the beer garden of an afternoon followed by a delicious dinner at the Inn. We wished we could stay longer

Staff were wonderful and very helpful and friendly.

Internet access was touch and go in our room at times. We had to go into the pub to get good reception which lead to a few more pints being downed. All good!

Amazingly, the room was too hot for me. And the Inn was a bit cold for my partner. But that’s February for you. Wouldn’t stop me booking again though.
