We loved everything. out this property! The people weee amazing, the food was great and it was beautiful!
We loved the rooms. We were in a treehouse in the jungle!

loved the swimming pool that was beautiful and peaceful. restaurant was very nice too.
distance from san pedro (particularly length of road once you leave the main road) and quality of the road to get there.
room 11 was a little bit outdated and requires some renovation. was ok though and comfortable. bathroom sink not convenient to use. shower pretty bad condition. room location a bit far from the main area in the lodge.

The scenery was amazing, toucans right outside the bungalow. Pool and river were great.
The food was incredibly expensive, four times the price of the same meal in the tourist restaurants elsewhere. As a family of four it ruined the experience a little. We stayed in five different locations in Belize, and this was the only one we were disappointed with in terms of value for money.

The location is truly amazing, surrounded by forest, numerous species of birds and some visiting howler monkeys. The staff made the trip truly memorable, they were kind, polite, helpful and went out of their way to help.
The food at the restaurant was outrageously expensive, to the point that we ended up leaving the hotel to eat elsewhere. We later found out that the original owner (before Muy Ono took over) had the same menu at HALF of the price. They simply cannot charge 15 USD for a flour tortilla with cheese and beans, it's insulting.
The staff are seriously underpaid. I find it really hypocritical of Muy Ono (the owner company) to praise themselves for doing "social work" by giving money to some charities and then pay their staff below the minimum wage and have them work long hours and more than 7 days straight.

Wow. The peace and serenity of Sweet Songs is unmatched. The grounds are exceptional and the uniqueness of each space is truly unparalleled. The service was impeccable from our arrival to departure. Carlos was so knowledgeable! We learned so much about the culture we were able to immerse ourselves in at Sweet Songs!
The water pressure and temperature of the sink was fantastic... the shower... not so much.

We absolutely loved the location. The surroundings were so beautiful and full of life. The nearby river with tubes and canoes provided by the lodge made for a lot of family fun, with exploring and jumping off rocks into the river.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The pool was clean and beautiful and the pool side bar was a bonus with a very friendly bar tender. The rooms and bedding were clean and comfortable and the air-conditioning worked well to keep us cool. The city center was a 20-30 minute drive on a dirt road part of the way and was very passable by an AWD car rain or shine. (I'd even say it's passable in a 2WD car) Our family really enjoyed playing and spending time together here.
I believe we stayed in bungalow #8. The blinds were completely see through from the outside at night. We did not realize this until our 2nd night, so who knows what passerby's may have seen as we were completely unaware of this problem.
Also, 2 of our adult children stayed in bungalow #6. When we checked in we were told there was no key available for this room, but they would get one for us by morning. Turns out the only way to lock the door from the inside is with a key. So for the first night our kids stayed in an unlocked room with a chair pushed up against the door. When we asked for the key again in the morning they still did't have a key, but they said not to worry about leaving the room unlocked because no one was going to go into their room. We had to take all of their valuables out of their room and lock them in our room when the left the resort for an all day excursion. They did have a key ready for us that evening.
The restaurant food is mediocre at best. For the USA $25 price I was expecting more.

Sweet Songs Lodge was beautiful! The property was just gorgeous and the staff were wonderful. They were extremely accommodating in every way.
They could have used some solar lights on the road path down to our bungalow 11. We would also suggest setting up a pool table, darts and some other outdoor activities on site for families in the building above the pool and on the surrounding grounds. the lodge is growing so this is not a criticism, just a suggestion.

Staying at this property was like living on a movie set- the jungle background and wildlife were incredible and Toucans joined us for breakfast every morning. I didn’t even need mosquito repellant. The pool overlooking the treetops with howler monkeys was perfect after a full day of excursions along with the bar drinks and food with helpful staff.

the lodge is situated in the jungle and perfect for a remote and luxurious jungle experience. a taxi will take you for 70 Belize $ (one way) from San ignacio to the lodge (about 20 minutes). we saw some monkeys, Tucans and other birds during our stay. for swimming you have the pool with a cocktail bar or the river with a natural small beach, both were great. you can get a canoe or a tube to explore the river for free! the staff was always very nice and helpful. we also got a take away breakfast one morning when we need to leave earlier
as said before by other guests, because of the remote location the lodge’s restaurant is the only place to eat nearby if you don’t want to go back to San ignacio (if you go by car you might not feel comfortable by night on the unpaved road). prices are in US $, at lunch you get food from the menu (10-15 US $), for dinner there is a choice of 2-3 different starters, main courses, desserts. we first thought it is obligatory to take all 3 courses and ended up with 44 US $ per person. as we recognised later you can also just take the main course. for a 2 night stay we found that still okay. it would actually be nice to get some of the lunch meals for dinner as well.

The swinging bed and bath tub on the porch. The air conditioned room. Tubing and canoeing and were the only people ever on the beach. Breakfast in the morning with the birds. The complimentary bottles for water were great!
I would've liked breakfast to go later. Also the resort overbooked my last day which I adjusted and made other plans but I was given a credit vs reimbursed so I had to spend more money than I wanted to in order to use it all up.

The location is truly off the beaten path and worth it! You are far away from everything, but that is what makes Sweet Songs so incredible. Being out in the jungle in such a serene location was amazing.
The construction. To be sitting in peace and quite and suddenly the hammers and saws start blaring was quite disturbing. Hopefully this is something they will have finished soon.

The hotel is perfect for a romantic or chill jungle getaway. The infinity pool is picturesque and the drinks are freshly made with ingredients from the area. The river offers a great opportunity to chill in the tubes and let yourself be floated downwards. The tours to Xunantunich and the ATM Caves were fantastic. The staff was very friendly!
Also: You get to see a lot of wildlife just by eating breakfast or dinner
The food could've been better. It was OK.

The location (jungle) is beautiful, and the Lodge grounds well maintained. Go and see the Botanical Gardens close-by! Our two-bed (1 room) bungalow was totally adequate, but the tree houses looked like they'd be wonderful to stay in (there were too many of us.) The pool area is great for relaxing (has a bar and food). Loved the outdoor restaurant, especially seeing local wildlife close up. Overall, the food served was delicious. All the staff we interacted with were extremely friendly and helpful whether at the front desk, poolside, in the restaurant, or for activities. They built a fire for us on the beach one evening! Tubing on the river was fun and highly recommend canoeing from the Lodge to San Ignacio.
The Lodge is quite far from the main road and San Ignacio, and since we didn't have a rental car, we would have had to get a Lodge shuttle to San Ignacio and back which is quite expensive (US$70). This just meant that we ended up eating meals (which were very good) mostly at the Lodge and this ended up being more expensive overall than eating in town. Just something to consider when planning a visit.

A great setting, wonderful wildlife around
Staff didn't seem to be well trained, with various snafus occurring during the stay (which, in all fairness, the manager took to heart, and tried to make up to us).

The grounds are very beautiful and are set in a thick rainforest. The treehouse bar/restaurant is the star of the show with interesting birds and animals visiting during meal times. (They are being fed by the staff - some may consider that morally wrong) The food itself was well made but it didn't suit our taste so we tried to eat out (or get takeout) after every tour. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
We booked a bunch of tours through the resort which were all well run and enjoyable. It may have been cheaper to book directly with tour operators but this was convenient.
Removing 1 star because the accommodations are musty, small, spartan and not great quality. The marketing makes it seem like a resort. The rooms near the reception (Room 1,2,3) seem to be of better quality compared to similar rooms like Room 10. The treehouse rooms were already booked so we couldn't book them. (Note - we have stayed in rainforests before - they are humid, have bugs etc and we still feel that accommodations here could have been better)
Removing 1 more star because it was very frustrating to communicate with them before the trip. (Reception was easy to work with when we were there) They don't pick up and if they do it is a 45 mins wait. It was difficult to book tours in advance. It was hard to get answers to simple questions like will there be a crib? etc They also charged us extra for a night - this was resolved but it took 30+ mins because their own front desk could not get hold of their own reservations department for a while.

This property is absolutely beautiful!!!! It's the perfect place to relax! It is right in the middle of the jungle with a beautiful river in the back of the property. Get that all-inclusive package!! The food here WAS AMAZING! I LOVE THE BELIZEAN SAMPLER!!! All of the staff were so nice and friendly.
Definitely go tubing in the river...so much fun!
The location is out of the way, and we always pay extra for transportation, but it was worth it.
I communicated back and forth with the hotel weeks before arriving, and they were always responsive and helpful and answered all of my questions.

This lodge is a real treat. You can see wildlife almost everyday and you are literally in the jungle. It’s breathtaking! The staff are phenomenal and go out of their way to help you with everything. The food is a highlight as they cater for all preferences and every dish is delicious.
The lodge is VERY remote (30 minute drive off the highway on a hilly windy dirt road) so you have to take all your meals at the lodge. The average price for dinner was 50USD per person 👀 We didn’t realize how remote we were and struggled to organize transport that wasn’t astronomically expensive. The hotel wanted to charge 257USD for a transfer from Belize City when the going rate is 140USD. Insane! Lastly, there’s no Wi-Fi in the rooms. For the price you pay, I thought that was a bit ridiculous.

Beautiful property in the jungle with a river that runs adjacent to the property.
Bed was uncomfortable.

The food was really great - huge portions and very tasty. We took one of the boats out on the lazy river around sunset to paddle around and that was pretty awesome. Happy hour at the pool was also good!
The room we booked through booking.com was different to what we received when we checked in - the staff were incredibly nice though, and did say that this was an issue with booking.com using pictures that didn’t match the room descriptions. We were offered an alternate room for the night - but it was further away from reception so the WiFi didn’t extend, so we stayed in our first room. Food was expensive we felt - but due to the location you couldn’t have an alternative.

The staff was really outstanding. The pool was amazing and the drinks were delicious. The hammock in the screened in porch was a huge hit. Tubing on the river was fun and the beach was nice. The location was beautiful, San Ignacia is a nice little town, there are several ruins in the area and the ATM cave was great fun! Guatemala is just down the road making a trip to Tikal easy.
The room had a bed, a table with one chair, a rack to hang clothes and two night stands. Our A/C unit leaked but the floors were stone so it didn't cause a big problem. The excursions were more expensive than I expected. This lodge is located at the end of a long loose gravel road with a very steep climb, meeting vehicles coming from the other direction was a little challenging. There was 3 large groups staying at the same time so singles and couples were regulated to high top tables as the regular tables were reserved for the larger groups. The restaurant was nice but a little expensive for the food offered.
