Clean, comfortable and well organised. Our hosts and their staff were friendly and helpful. Super tasty breakfast. Our room was nicely decorated and comfortable with plenty of. space and storage....the pillows were just perfect. Although our room was close to the road there was no noticeable traffic noise through the night.

The extractor fan in the ensuite was a little noisy but turned off immediately when the light was switched off.

The food at dinner and breakfast was outstanding and the location was very good. A good place to stay if visiting Exeter or the Devon Countryside.

The staff were all attentive and very friendly. The home cooking was supberb.

Great value with a full English breakfast provided. We enjoyed a good meal in the pub the night of out stay. Rooms are small but excellent for the price, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Tea and coffee provided in rooms. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The staff were very friendly. The room was small but very nice with everything you would need. We stayed in a room with an external private toilet/shower, which was very clean. The food was exceptional and reasonably priced. The village and countryside was very pretty with an hours drive to the coast.

Silverton is off the beaten track, but if you like that kind of thing the location is great. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and all the basics needed for an overnight stay are available on site. The general atmosphere at the pub is nice too: it's a proper 'village local' of the kind that's now increasingly rare.

Even with the window open, the room was a bit hot and stuffy. Ideally I would have liked a toilet in my room, but I knew that there wasn't one when I booked, so I can't really complain about that.

Although a little bit far from Exeter, it’s a nice place to stay if you look for a calm place. Staff was very pleasant and food in the pub very good and tasty. Breakfast was good as well.

The room was clean and modern. The breakfast was nice, especially the bacon. Electric fan in the room was amazing.

The lack of staff during the closed pub, due to hot weather wanted ice. small fridge in room would have been brilliant Pre ordering breakfast for our two nights stay in advance then not getting what was requested. At the time on the second breakfast had a full breakfast the same as requested by my husband eg no tomato or beans instead of scrambled egg on toast, the server offered to rectify the error but firstly didn’t want to wait and secondly didn’t want to waste food. Noise from pub on the evening (Stayed Friday and Saturday). Groups outside smoking and conversation was very clear and not always pleasant. smoke from below came into room as windows open due to very hot weather. Parking in the village square was easy and free
