Unique layout, 2nd bedroom up spiral staircase fun for kids of any age. Michele was very helpful and kind enough to pick us up at train station day we arrived in pouring rain and take us at end of stay. Everything was in walking distance from place!

When I booked this apartment I knew from the pictures it was different than most. We travel a lot so we have rented many on homeaway. This by far had to be one of our best experiences. Besides being within 5 minutes of the most beautiful part of town, the host Michele was the most attentive and gracious person I have ever met. The apartment could not have been more well supplied and he thought of everything a guest could need and he was there at a moments notice if needed. We have stayed in higher end, more expensive rentals, but this home made us feel at home, welcomed and well looked after. I cannot recommend this apartment more highly for your stay in Parma. Nice apt and location. Quiet!

We had a wonderful time visiting Parma based from this location. The apartment is a perfect size for 2 people ... and is very adorable. You have everything you might need and the location is ideal. We walked everywhere. Michele is an amazing host and one of the most thoughtful we have ever rented from. He even saved us a parking spot for our car early on the day of our arrival right in front of the apartment. We would definitely recommend this location and if ever visiting Parma again ... we would stay here!!

Michael was the perfect host and a very kind man. He picked us up and dropped us off at the train station. He was always available if we needed his assistance. The apartment had everything you would need and was very clean. 5 stars!!

Michele is a great host who lives right across the street should a problem arise. Fortunately we didn't have any occasion to call him. Michele gave us a good introduction to the apartment and we were off and running. The unit is bright and sunny with little or no street noise. The unit is a couple of blocks from all there is to see and do in Parma and is as described on the Home Away site. Plenty of good restaurants and markets close by.

We used Parma as a base from which to explore parts of the region. It is well connected to other centres and offers a nice small town feel at Michele's place. The apartment is comfortable, well equipped and air conditioned, which was essential on the 37 C days. Michele was a splendid host helping us make tour arrangements and booking dinner reservations. You have to try the Parmigiana Soufle at La Forchetta.

Our host saw the challenge we had with the assigned apartment and graciously changed us to another apartment with fewer stairs. It was beautiful and centrally located to restaurants and shopping.

Michele was very accommodating and made us feel very welcome. Booking and correspondence was very easy and we felt the accommodation was good value for money. The location was excellent and only a very short walk to the cathedral and centre. All facilities were in great condition and we were also unexpectedly provided with breakfast basics. As a family of 3, there was plenty of room for all of us. Great stay.

We stayed in this historic-center apartment for three months this spring. It was a good space for the two of us, although it can sleep four. It is a modernized space in a building built in 1700. The living, dining, kitchen area is very pleasant and well-equipped. It has two beautiful windows onto the street. One bedroom, with its own street window, is on the level of the living area. The other is above it and accessed by a spiral staircase. We opted for the lower bedroom. There are other tenants, but the building is very quiet. Michele, the landlord, is a fabulous man. You could not ask for better. He lives across the street, and if there was an issue, he'd text, "I'll be there in 10 minutes." He picked us up from the station when we arrived, and would do the same if we took a trip. He knows all about Parma and the province (which is a great place) and, indeed, he's been everywhere in Italy. We will miss him --- meeting him on the street, chit-chatting, etc. The neighborhood is great. The duomo and famous Baptistry are a 5 or 6 minute walk away. There is a superior old-fashioned grocery/general store around the corner (The Amici Market) which sometimes sems like a community center. There is a nice bread store (Pane Piu'), a health food store (Ceres), and, of, course, cafes. It is a real neighborhood. We never had a car in Italy, but, if you are a cyclist, once you learn how to ride out of town, the country south of Parma is rich and exquisite and "big sky". There are many castles as destinations. The area also provides access to the Passo di Cisa and the Passo del Bocco from which there is downhill access to the coast of Liguria. This can be done in a day if you take the train back to Parma. Note: north of Parma is trafficked and industrial/commercial gritty. Last, we found internet connections not as strong as in the USA. We had a great time! Thank you, Michele.

Very nice apartment in an excellent location. Parma is a wonderful place to visit and the apartment is ideal. Lots of small shops nearby, also cafes and restaurants. Michele supplied us with breakfast food, so that was taken care of. The apartment has everything you need, plus it's quiet, very clean and has comfortable beds. There is a map of the city centre on the wall plus a folder with all the tourist information and it was a very short walk to the historic centre, so all in all a good choice.

Michele is a wonderful, very considerate host, one of the best we have had. He was very well organized with information and made sure we had everything we needed. The apartment is very comfortable, the space has been thoughtfully planned and the apartment is well decorated. The ceilings on the main floor are high as in an older Italian building and there is a large display of art on one wall. The apartment is equipped with all the basics; an added plus is the fully stocked espresso maker, which was very nice to have for morning coffee and the laundry with room to hang clothes to dry extremely helpful. While not large this apartment is arranged to make it possible to comfortably accommodate four people. A short walk from the apartment there is a small grocery that is well-stocked and open late hours. We found the old part of Parma to be very charming and interesting, with many wonderful restaurants and excellent staffs. Parma is a very easy place to be; it is very comfortable to sit and enjoy the city while sipping coffee or wine in outdoor cafes among the sites. We hope to come back to this apartment and Parma for a longer stay in the near future.

This is a pleasant apartment located on the 3rd (US) floor. The apartment is not large. It has a living room/dining area which is adequate but a little tight. The dining table easily accommodates four people, but the couch can only seat two. It has a very well-equipped kitchen area on the right side of the dining area , a small bedroom on the main floor, a second bedroom in the loft (with sink, a TV and an AC), and a modern bath on the main floor with a shower and a clothes washer. The furnishings are in good condition, and the apartment was very clean. WiFi is available, and another TV in the living room area--but both TVs only get Italian channels. AC is provided at no charge. The apartment was in tip-top shape when we arrived, and the owner was very welcoming, helpful, and attentive to our needs. He installed a more powerful internet router when we had problems getting on line. The great advantage of the apartment is its location on the edge of the limited traffic zone (the ZTL). This location allows guests to reach the center of town with only a short walk--in particular the Duomo, the Baptistery, as well as the Teatro Reggio where we saw an excellent performance of Madama Butterfly. Given its location near the ZTL, there is little traffic, and the apartment is quiet. Parking is available on the street where the apartment is located for a few Euro per day. The parking there is limited, but we always found a space. The challenges of the apartment are the lack of an elevator--although the owner kindly helped us move our luggage upstairs-- and access to the loft which requires the occupant to negotiate a tight circular staircase and leave any large luggage in the living room. Care is needed in descending that staircase. These factors would likely limit the use of the loft bedroom by handicapped or very elderly individuals. There are grocery stores nearby and a very good restaurant near the Duomo--the Ristorante Angiol d'Or. For those attending performance at the Teatro Reggio, there is an excellent pre-show buffet for ticket holders at the Gran Caffe next to the opera house lobby. All that being said, our assessment is that given its location the apartment is a bargain, and its location and low cost more than make up for the absence of an elevator and the loft staircase challenge. We would stay there again if we were to return to Parma.

This apartment is nicely appointed, spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable and everything worked well. The location is great - in a quiet street just a pleasant 5 minute walk to the centre of the old town. Michelle and Daria were very helpful throughout our stay and even assisted us with a matter we needed to follow up after we had left Parma.

"This accommodation exceeded our expectations. I stayed for a little over a week with my daughter and had my son, who is working in the area stay 5 of the 9 days I was there. The owners lived across the street and were very helpful and responsive whenever we had any questions or concerns. They gave us good information regarding bus routes, where to buy groceries etc. but also respected our privacy during our stay. They were available but not intrusive. The entire apt. was thoughtfully arranged to meet a visitors needs. The kitchen was very well equiped, we cooked many meals and I was delighted to find every item I needed. The owners also left a binder with the manuals for all the appliances which we found very helpful including being able to change the clock on the stove to daylight savings time:) The area was great-good restaurants, cafe''s, groceries, shopping, galleries and museums all within easy walking distance. I am very comfortable recommending this apt. to anyone looking for clean,comfortable and convenient home away from home.g"
