Absolutely nothing.
Got there after a long day of traveling. We had rented 3 rooms and we're traveling with small children. To find out that they had rented out rooms. The guy at the front desk was just plain....

Nothing
They canceled my reservation without any notice

Nothing
When I arrived they had rented the 3 rooms that I had reserved. The location is awful. The hill to the location is really bad especially on a rainy day. The front desk had no solution for me.

This was perfect for what we needed. just a cozy little hotel for one night with a great price. We left pretty early in the morning so we were in bed early as well but there was an adorable terrace patio I would have loved to have a couple drinks on. Next time! Staff was very nice and helpful. the room itself was again exactly what we needed for the night. clean and comfortable. Walking distance to town with one HELL of a hill to walk up but I enjoyed the exercise. 10/10 recommend.

The bedroom was big and with a balcony

It was good that we had where to park
4.1
Location was convenient, near food, stores, and the center area. Staff was friendly and the room was comfortable with the views mentioned in the listing.
Wifi wasn't great, but it was good to even have some at all. Our only downside during the stay was 1)climbing, but that is disclosed, and we're young.... It was just tiring after hiking all day and pulling heavy luggage was a pain. 2) There was a lot of water accumulating outside the bathroom in our room, and hallway. Not sure how that was happening, but the staff did their best by mopping up when they could.

The View
No Cafe or OJ ~ no service at the restaurant or at reception
4.1
There was a very nice view from our window and small balcony. There is also a nice view from an outlook on the top floor. There is an onsite restaurant and bar, but it was out of service. Many rooms are on upper levels, and there is no elevator. The staff was friendly and helpful. The small pueblo magico of Xilitla is well worth the effort to get there.
The website showed an onsite restaurant and bar, together with reviews of same, which was a factor in our decision to book this hotel. It was out of service when we arrived, and there was no discount in the rate due to the absence of this important amenity. While the hotel is not far from the main plaza, there is a very steep 2 block climb up an alley to get anywhere, including somewhere to eat. We had to make this trek at least 4 times during a 1 night, 2 day stay, to tour the town, eat dinner, arrange a tour to Las Pozas, eat breakfast, and visit the Leona Carrington museum. I would not recommend this hotel unless the restaurant is functioning and you are either in excellent physical condition and/or are willing to take a taxi. There are other better choices available.

The view was amazing especially from the kitchen on top

The hotel was not good. Don't stay here unless you absolutely have to. The one redeeming quality is that staff was helpful. The hotel doesn't offer food, its downhill from the city so you have to walk up a steep hill and down steep incline to get back. Its not in the hotel area, its more local. So I wouldn't have felt super safe alone, as a female. The hotel didn't have working wifi for us and both times I tried to shower the water was cold because the boiler heater was off.
I don't recommend staying because they advertise amenities they don't have. They do not have hot water all the time. They choose when to turn the hot water on and both times I tried to shower it was off. Who wants to have to let staff know they are wanting a shower, just be honest if you are more like a hostel and less like a hotel.
The wifi was off and after the icy shower we were a bit of a Karen because we felt mislead. They did then fix our wifi, which was the only reason we ended up staying for the second night because we felt icky there. The hotel room needs repairs, there was a bit of mold on our wall. It was clean, so that was good but not value for price. There are better options right by the church in the townsquare.. Don't stay here!
