Beautiful large Georgian house with a big garden. Perfect for a family or two!
Construite en 1770, cette charmante maison, située dans la ville historique saxonne de Wareham, est idéale pour une famille ou deux familles qui veulent la facilité d'avoir beaucoup d'espace, un jardin clos et l'accès aux magasins, restaurants et commodités de Wareham comme ainsi que tous les sites magnifiques du Dorset, y compris le château de Corfe et les plages de Purbeck à proximité.
La maison a été restaurée avec amour au cours des 12 dernières années par les propriétaires qui l'utilisent encore régulièrement.
La maison se compose d'un grand salon avec un poêle à bois; salle de jeux avec table de billard et table de ping-pong; hall spacieux; cuisine avec Aga et grande table; cuisine / arrière-cuisine séparée avec cuisinière à gaz et four électrique; 5 chambres; 3 salles de bains, 5 toilettes et un salon TV séparé. Le grand jardin clos donne sur le parking de Howards Lane et la maison a son propre abri d'auto.
La disposition de la maison est la suivante:
1. Le rez-de-chaussée comprend un salon, une salle de jeux, 2 cuisines (une avec Aga et l'autre avec cuisinière à gaz et four électrique), une buanderie avec lave-linge et sèche-linge séparés, des toilettes et un accès au patio et au grand jardin clos.
2. Le premier étage comprend une salle de télévision, une salle de douche, une salle de bains, des toilettes séparées, une salle de séchage, 3 chambres (une avec un lit double, une avec un lit simple et une avec un lit double et un lit simple).
3. Le dernier étage comprend 2 chambres et une salle de bains. Une chambre a des lits superposés et 2 lits simples. L'autre chambre a 3 lits simples.

Lovely spacious house with character and variety of space ( like going back in time !) It was lovely being all together and our grandchildren loved it ! An excellent location in the centre of Wareham and also near to the coast .

This was a really lovely place to stay. We were a group of 8 friends, 5 of whom met at university and were celebrating 40 years of knowing on another. The property is characterful and quirky, and it felt very much like staying in someone's home. Had the weather been bad we would have found plenty to do in the house as there was a games room and a piano in the living room. Two of us played the piano quite a bit over the weekend and several played both pool and table tennis. The kitchen warmed by an aga was a cosy gathering place and probably the most well-equipped kitchen that I have ever encountered in a holiday home!

The house is situated in a very central and convenient place. Amazing property,like a warren. Packed with character and we felt quite at home.The parking and secluded garden a bonus Thankyou for letting us stay in your home.

Lovely big house with large rooms. Everything works and the kitchen is especially well equipped. A lovely private garden with nice patio. Parking for one car but next to big carpark though only has max 4 hour parking. Wareham a pretty town with all amenities in. walking distance. Good games room oversll a superb family house

Property was ideal for us to have a weekend playing a couple of courses nearby and retreating to the house in the evening. Lots of space, rooms, good food options close by and a table tennis table!

David was always quick to respond with any questions, and very helpful
I stayed with 7 friends for the weekend.
We all loved the house; which is full of character, very comfortable, clean and spacious. Equipped with everything you could hope for.

What an amazing property. The pics don't do it justice, this is such a lovely place; both the house as well as Wareham and surrounding area. David was a brilliant host, providing ample info about the house and surrounding area and showing flexibility towards our arrival and departure times. I cant recommend enough. We were two families with 5 children aged 6-11. The games room is brilliant, and the drawing room is a lovely place to chill (there is no need for a TV!). We loved sitting in the garden after a day out which is very well kept. All in all a great holiday and fantastic house (sure you can tell we're slightly envious of this place)

The bedroom layout may need to be considered dependent on your group and if you are after modern interiors, matching bed linen and fluffy hotel towels this might not be for you. However, if you want to feel like you are getting a glimpse into another families home with it's eclectic and interesting interior you will no doubt enjoy.
The property was clean and comfortable, lovely garden and seating area. Great communication from David. There is parking for 1 car, but plenty of free parking a short walk up the road. Overall a lovely couple of days away. Thank you.

Fabulous comfortable house for our family (aged 21 to 80) weekend away. Clean and extremely well equipped. Games room is superb. Wareham is such a great place to visit with plenty of eating places and pubs within a couple of minutes walk.

If you enjoy cooking there is every available kitchen utensil and having 2 kitchens was very useful. We spent a lot of time round the large kitchen table because it’s just made for eating, drinking and being together. The garden is lovely and we had beautiful weather. . It’s an ideal house for being together with friends and family although probably not suitable for less mobile older ones. Its position, very near the high street but still very quiet, is a plus.

The house is spacious, well equipped and the walled garden is lovely and well looked after. We have enjoyed staying at the house twice and highly recommend this property. You wouldn't be disappointed!

Wonderful!
This beautiful family home couldn't have been more perfect for our gathering of three generations to celebrate our parents' 90th birthdays. Everything we needed - and more. A perfect base for exploring the Isle of Purbeck and for spending many happy hours enjoying this wonderful house and garden.

Great to open the front door and be in the town, yet quiet and peaceful location. Well stocked and cosy home. Very enjoyable 4 day stay in a beautiful part of the world.

Fantastic house and location
We had an amazing time, loved, loved, loved the house. Loads of space for more than one family, kids loved all being together in the attic rooms. House and garden are beautiful lots of magical spaces and intertwining stairs and passages. Would definitely book again.

Fantastic house
My family had a wonderful long weekend in this amazing large family celebrating my father's 70th birthday. The living room and play room were lovely spaces for relaxing and having fun together. We thought the kitchen was really well equipped. We were there in October but the heating and age made it cosy. The owners gave really thorough notes before via email including good restaurant tips. We got take away from the Thai restaurant and it was delicious. Garden was nice but due to weather didn't use it. I'd definitely recommend this to friends!

Our second visit to this property. Lovely place. Well equipped. Very good standard of accommodation. Games room a real bonus for our children (and us adults, to be honest!). 6 adults and 2 children in our group. Beds to spare. Thoroughly met our needs. Would recommend.

We only stayed here for 2 nights as we were visiting the tank museum. We wish we were here longer! The house was perfect for our 2 families. We had enough rooms and bathrooms and space that it was as if we were in 2 houses but the communal areas were perfect to come together too! The games room was fantastic for our children. The kitchen was perfect for us and fully equipped. The location was great and Wareham town is very pleasant to visit too. Definitely will be back again.

We only stayed here for 2 nights as we were visiting the tank museum. We wish we were here longer! The house was perfect for our 2 families. We had enough rooms and bathrooms and space that it was as if we were in 2 houses but the communal areas were perfect to come together too! The games room was fantastic for our children. The kitchen was perfect for us and fully equipped. The location was great and Wareham town is very pleasant to visit too. Definitely will be back again.

Lovely Family Home
The property was just what we needed for our family break with the children and one grand child. The hosts have thought of everything a family would need. The house looks even better than the pictures and the walled garden is delightful. We will definitely stay here again as everyone loved it so much.

Great central location
Lovely family house which has everything you need for your holiday. Location is amazing - just two mins walk and you are in the centre of Wareham which has lots of lovely places to eat and things to do. House is very spacious although somewhat tired in places and in need of some TLC. Some of the beds were lovely, some in need of replacing but great space and overall great for a holiday. Good value for money, especially if a couple of families share.
