Quiet, clean, comfortable place close to the beach, Kennebunkport and Portland. Loved the fire pit in the backyard. Great for hanging out, drinking wine and laughing with friends. Thank you Judy for your hospitality : )

Judy is a wonderful host! Communication was wonderful throughout the booking process and the stay. She met us at the property the first day to show us around and give some ideas of things to do during our stay. The house was absolutely beautiful.

True to description- the house has everything you could possibly need. Note that there are lots of rugs and breakables and a fairly steep staircase, so not ideal for older people who may have some mobility issues. Judy was super responsive to our questions along the way and provided some good suggestions.

This property was especially close Portland which made day trips so easy. The home was comfy but definitely not for young children as there are too many breakables everywhere. The backyard was great as it had a grill, firepit and hot tub to use after a long day.

If you’re a family with children and expect to socialize with anyone while you’re in OOB, then this is NOT the place for you. My husband & I have a 2 & 5 year old daughters and were looking to have a relaxing vacation, enjoying the beach, amusement park and local scene. The house itself is nice, with a hot tub (that she doesn’t allow children in), about 20 extra chairs cluttering the backyard (but no guests are allowed), seating for 15 in the kitchen (again - NO guests!!) and many, many fragile, breakable trinkets scattered throughout the house. Upon arrival, I needed to ‘kid proof’ the interior for two hours while my husband took the kids into town. There were elaborate displays of crystal glasses and family heirloom pictures from the early 1900’s- engaging, but NOT rental-friendly! We noticed two wicker chairs were damaged upon arrival & put them in the shed. When she came over to water her lawn for almost two hours, (during a drought) she brought the chairs back out from the shed and rudely accused us of ruining them in front of our kids. She later deducted money from our deposit (we're not allowed to disclose the amount, but it was too much). My husband was very diligent about cleaning the hot tub. My parents and sister own a hot tub, our children are in them all the time. We know how to clean hot tubs and use them properly. She accused us of “letting our children use it as a play pool” and “trashing” it. My parents stopped by for lunch (they’re pushing 80 and one of them is going through chemo, and therefore I can only see them certain days of the month.) She cited the rental agreement and threatened to KICK US ALL OUT due to them sitting on the porch for a few hours, they never even went inside. On the surface, Judy is a very thoughtful woman who welcomes her guests with s’mores set-ups, dish soap and a full spice rack. But, after a day, it felt like a trap as she was clearly very nervous about children in her fragile house. Coupled by texts, calls and visits to “water her lawn” and to “check on the hot tub,” Judy made it very difficult to relax. If you have children with you for this vacation, choose another place to enjoy OOB!!

Lovely place. Host always accessible

We went up with our 3 kids ages 8-20 and they ALL had a blast. The house was very clean, extremely comfortable, and had everything we needed. So close to the beach we only used our car to go get groceries. The hot tub at night after the youngest went down was so relaxing after a full beach day. And the back yard is so beautifully gardened and private. It’s so homey and welcoming we didn’t want to leave! We can’t wait to get back again! Thank you Judy for allowing my family tradition to live on by sharing your lovely space with us!

My family and I enjoyed staying in this house in Old Orchard Beach. The house was lovely, and it’s within walking distance to the pier, beach, and even Amtrak! Our family enjoyed it, and Judy was a great hostess.

Nice house within easy walk to Old Orchard Beach. Beautiful garden in back with a lovely yard for sitting out in the evening. The hot tub is a big plus!

Judy was a great host. Very prompt communication, easy check in process. The unit was fully equipped with everything you’d need - towels, cooking dishes/utensils, etc. The best part was the outside fire pit/hot tub. Perfect place to relax with friends for the weekend. Only a short drive to the main part of OOB with bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

The property was exactly as advertised. The hot tub was great and we enjoyed the fire pit as well. Judy even left us s'mores ingredients. 😊 Our group really enjoyed the stay.

Clean home, just communicates well, HOT TUB, amenities were just perfect. Exactly what we were looking for. Beds were so comfy! Plenty of space. Loved loved loved it!

Judy was an amazing hostess. She communicated extremely well and was very helpful too with things around the house by the notes she left. The house was extremely clean and very close to the pier. We truly very welcomed and was able to have a relaxing weeknd. It close to Portland as well for a quick day trip. Its only 25 mins away. We will definitely come back.

It started with great communications initiated by the owner. The owner met us at the door and took the time we needed to show us the entire home. The home was very clean and well maintained. Everything was in working order and it was nice entering the home that it was cool and less humid than outside (owner pre-cooled). The yard and accessories were impeccable. The hot tub was a great addition and very clean. We appreciated the wood for a campfire and all the necessary food and equipment to make s’mores. And I almost forgot the home is within walking distance of Old Orchard Beach and a short drive to the Portland Oceanfront. The owner also left many brochures of things to do and things to see in the area. Very quiet neighborhood and very friendly locals.

The property is everything Judy says it is.. she has truly thought of Everything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. She is very.generous and responds promptly to all questions. Best VRBO home I’ve stayed in!!

We recently stayed in this rental (Aug 2021) and had a nice time. Very clean and full of everything you can imagine needing for your trip. We really liked the long table in the kitchen and the hot tub. It's a nice, short walk to town and to the beach. Note that the return walk from the beach back to the house is up a pretty steep hill. We instead ended up having to do a "drop-off" for some of the older family members. There are a few free parking spaces near the beach access at the Waves resort that came in very hand for this!

If you have a small family, this is the perfect vacation rental, especially with several kids. In one direction it is a short walk to pier/boardwalk and restaurants. In the other direction is the beach that is not as crowded as the are near the pier. Judy was the perfect hostess. She met us on check in and went over everything that we needed to know. One of the best features was is she supplies everything that one needs on vacation (the exception being beach towels). She has everything from shower towels to laundry and dish soap and garbage bags. It was super helpful not to have to bring or purchase all these things on vacation. There is bonus room that serves as a large walk in closet with 2 dressers that was great for storing all our clothes and luggage. It was out of the way and easy for the whole family to access. The bedroom set up is great as well. The master bedroom has a king bed and a TV for the grown ups. The 2nd bedroom a queen size bed and the 3rd one had a twin bed and double bed. It was perfect for our family of 3 and our nephew who visited. Everyone had their own space. The wifi had good reception throughout the house. She has several streaming services as well as cable. She also keeps her Alexa in the living room so you can have access to music. One of my favorites was the hot tub in the back yard. It was perfect after a day of walking miles on end or playing at the beach. The backyard is great as well. Plenty of room for kids to play in the fenced in yard and there is firepit as well. We didn't end up using the fire pit but Judy left it all set up with the first round of wood in it, if we wanted to use it. Judy is great at communicating before and during the stay. There are so many positives about her house. Friends who were also in OOB at the same time stopped by to visit before we headed out to the beach together. They loved the house and location and asked us for the listing so they could rent possibly next summer. It really is a great family house. Thank you Judy for sharing your home with us.

The reason I am giving a one star review is because of the way my family was treated. On Saturday, July 24, my family (6 adults and 2 children) headed to old orchard beach from Judy’s house for the day. My dad and step mom joined us FOR THE DAY as did my best friend, her husband and two small children. We were gone for the majority of the day. We came back to the house to eat dinner. My dad, step mom and best friends’ family were packing up and getting ready to go hone when Judy arrived unexpectedly. She was FURIOUS and demanded we ALL leave the house. I was perplexed. I was not having additional guests/visitors overnight at her home; they were packing up and leaving when she arrived. My family and I were completely astonished that we were getting kicked out even though we hadn’t caused any trouble for Judy. We were quiet and clean yet because I had people up for a beach day, it was cause for IMMEDIATE EVICTION FROM THE HOME. To me, I was not breaking any house rules but to Judy, I was. I apologized, and tried to talk with her but there was no talking to her. She KICKED US OUT! It took us a few hours to pack up but at 10:30pm, I had to wake up my sleeping babies (ages 1 and 3) to get them in the car for the long ride home. We had been there for 1 NIGHT. Judy acted completely inhuman and couldn’t accept an apology. She couldn’t even give us until the next morning to leave. She sat in her car and each time someone approached (whether it was me or a member of my family) to talk with her about the situation she told them she was going to call the police. It was such a bizarre and unfair situation. Needless to say, VRBO will not refund my money. Best wishes to you all if you rent this property.

Perfect location.

Adult family of 5 gathering from CT. Home had everything we needed and more! Lovely beach theme decor throughout and very clean. Judy is super friendly and communication with her was fast & easy. Very close to attractions and the beach. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who needs a relaxing vacation.

Enjoyed staying at Judy’s. She was quick to respond to any questions we had via VRBO messenger. We traveled with 2 infants and one child and it was nice to have space for them to move around. The house was a little further from the beach than I anticipated, but was still within walking distance for dinner and entertainment (we drove to the beach each day because we had to bring so much stuff for the babes).We cleaned up as best we could before we left to make sure things were in order, however there were things brought to our attention after we had left that we were unaware of (red marks on couch cover from baby hands, issues with the cable that we didn’t use, things like that) that made us feel like we were subpar house guests which made me a little bummed, but traveling with babies these things happen. Plenty of space in the bedrooms and upstairs bathroom, as well as downstairs. Would likely stay here again :)

The home was the perfect place for 4 family members to get together for a couple days. The home met all our needs. We would definitely stay there again!

Judy has put a lot of thought and care into making your stay as seemless as possible. From making it easy to prepare family meals, to touring the area on the available bikes, to providing items to make the beach excursion easy. My family loved making smores after dinner and the evening dips in the hot tub, and then lounging in the living room catching up on our favorite shows. I certainly recommend this property and look forward to rebooking in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and had everything we needed and then some! Plenty of room for four adults to enjoy some relaxation. Yard and deck were immaculate with beautiful gardens and lots of great sitting places. Judy was very communicative and provided many perks, like the hot tub, s’mores fixings, wood for the fire, Alexa for music, WiFi, keurig machine, beach chairs, etc. You can see the effort she makes to ensure you enjoy your stay.
