Patrick our host was very helpful suggesting where to go and what to see. He suggested restaurants and practical things such as where to do our laundry.

Very comfortable bed in big bedroom. Everywhere in the house very clean, lovely traditional house. Breakfast on terrace with the most amazing view of the old city. Guests could use the terrace in the day and evenings for drinks etc. Patrick was a really good host, helpful and informative. Made us feel very welcome.

What a superb place to stay - everything was absolutely spot on. The host, Patrick, was so attentive, so thoughtful, so welcoming: always ready to make sure we had everything we might need. Our room was perfect: very comfortable, well equipped, spacious and quietly located for a peaceful, comfortable few nights. There is a terrace to sit in with a fridge to keep our drinks cold: The location of the Guesthouse is simply perfect: breakfast is served by Patrick on a first-floor roof terrace that looks over towards the Cite - the ancient walled part of Carcassonne. Morning sunshine made it a wonderful start to the day. We spent some time in the afternoon sunshine in the same spot. We never grew weary of the view. The night-time view, when the cite is lit up, is absolutely spectacular. Just over the road, there is a fabulous park to wander around. The walk up to the Cite is easily manageable from the location, as was the walk into town for evening refreshments. Patrick served a delicious breakfast and was wise in guiding us to get the best out of our trip. It was all thoroughly relaxing and simply the perfect spot to be based at for a wonderful days. Carcassonne is a beautiful small city with good connections to explore more widely. Thank you, Patrick, for making this a most perfect break, and The Guesthouse is very highly recommended for a stay in that location. It's rare to find due to the charming accommodation, located so well and so very comfortable. Patrick is a superb host.

Nothing could be improved upon, all absolutely spot on.

I particularly enjoyed the experience of staying in an old French style house and loved admiring the objet d'art tastefully placed throughout.There was a peaceful almost magical atmosphere permeating the beautiful house. The stunning central courtyard provided a tranquil haven to relax in after a day sightseeing. A good night's sleep is vital and that is what I got in the lovely bedroom. Air-conditioning,great Wifi,tea/coffee,TV and a most comfortable bed were provided.A private bathroom,luxurious toiletries and hot water on tap were available.Breakfast was served outside on an upstairs terrace.It was fresh ,tasty and healthy.'Real' orange-juice, a dish of muesli ,yoghurt and fruits followed by various 'treats' of cheese,tomatoes, ham,quiche etc,also toast,bread,croissants and cakes with tea/ coffee. Carcassonne Guesthouse was excellent value for money. It surpassed many more expensive hotels etc I have previously stayed in. Top class cleanliness was evident in all areas. The location of this property sets it above numerous others in Carcassonne.The view of the medieval Cite from the terrace is splendid as one enjoys a leisurely breakfast while chatting to other lovely guests. Similarly, at night, the atmosphere of the balcony is enchanting as the Cite is lit up and the castle takes on an almost magical appearance. This BnB is ideally situated between the old and new cities of Carcassonne. It is within easy walking distance of shops,restaurants,train station and the many sights.Last and certainly not least,Patrick the host is a charming,friendly and courteous man who is most attentive to his guest's needs. He is a talented Irish guy who is passionate about La France and is a fountain of knowledge on all matters Carcassonne and surroundings. P.S. If you have a free hour visit 'The Celt' off Carnot Place where you will experience a little taste of 'Ireland in France'.

Great accommodations with the best veiw in all of Carcassonne from the terrace. Patrick is a wealth of local knowledge and recommendations. Walking distance to the city center and the castle. Great breakfast and view to start your day. Heat wave in Europe and the room had air conditioning, what a great plus. Beautiful park across the street with river and walking paths. We highly recommend Patrick's place to stay in Carcassonne.

Loved the location. Brilliant view of the Cite while eating breakfast on the terrace. Very easy walk there and also very near the Bastide. Our host Patrick was very friendly and helpful and was always there with great advice on restaurants, and sightseeing. Would definitely stay there again.

Stunning view of Carcassonne Fortress. Excellent room, very welcoming and a lovely breakfast.

Very clean, tastefully decorated and spacious room with comfortable bed. Outside fridge and table in little courtyard together with water kettle (on request) made equipment perfect. Wifi worked fine, too. Parking in the street with no fee (a non-Weekend in September, though). Despite its location only a few steps from center it was totally calm and we slept wonderfully. Cannot say if the extraordinary view from the terrace was the best of all this or was it the host who was available whenever needed (and only then) and who provided us with plenty good recommendations for the town and for the region. Thank you and hope to meet again!

Excelent 4 days stay .

The view from the guesthouse is superb. Breakfast was lovely and includes the excellent view. Location is wonderful, within walking distance of both the old Cité and the new centre with nice restaurants, etc.

Excellent location with amazing views looking at the castle. Room was spotless, Continental breakfast was very satisfactory, Patrick was helpful, polite and we have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation.
