I am on a special diet for health reasons and my biggest concern is having a functional kitchen. Of the places I have stayed in the south of Thailand this one had the most well equipped kitchen. It is also located a quick walk from a not very crowded lovely beach paralled by a quaint little street with a very local feel of street merchants, restaurants, massage shops and more. A peaceful setting with just enough activity.

great location with easy access to the beach, restaurants and market stalls. almost no litter evident and the host was super helpful.

The air conditioning worked, but not very effectively. although the shower was a great temperature and good power, there was a gap in the shower door and the shower head could not be angled.

It was quite and off the main road but still not far from Drift bar (previously Madagascar bar) or the beach. Having a washing machine was handy, the wifi was fast and the bed was comfy.

I couldn’t work out how to watch English movies on the TV and the host was out of town so unable to assist. No big deal as we had the tablet and the wifi was good. Maybe have some instructions on how to work the TV from Russian to English would be my only ask.

The bathroom had one of those windows that, although frosted, looks right into the living/bedroom. If its late, then dont turn the light on, or it will shine into the room, brighlty- its like 1m x 1m big, which is weirdly large for a room like that, looking into the bathroom and you can see what people are doing in the bathroom. So, be comfortable with whomever you stay with! For me, it was with my kid, so no big deal. But i did have to go to the bathroom at night with no light, as to not wake them up, which was quite annoying. To boot, the bathroom door wasnt solid- had those slats that lets in air, which is nice, but it's just a completely unprivate bathroom. The fault isnt the host's which i just guess isn't her place. Whoever owns the place didnt consider the design of that bathroom, which is really bizarre. Who puts a huge window looming right into the crapper lime that? Literally, who designa that stuff? So, no light at night, you can hear and smell everything in there, and of course, see almost everything. Also, the sliding door to the balcony doesnt lock (broken), which for a place that new, is...odd. The tv is one of the modern curved ones, which is cool, apart from the fact that there is no cable and no channels other than pne cartoon one and a couple of stacticy ones, which are unwatchable. It has a homey feel to the place, yet the design of it makes it uncomfortable: a weird mix. The host lady sure did her best to keep it clean and be responsive, and im just guessing she didnt design the place, but did ask me twice (and showed me in person and in text) to leave a 10/10 review, which for the first suggestion was quaint, but the text on the next day, and picture, reminding me to leave a perfect review was a tad over the top. For a single person staying there who doesnt want to watch tv...it would be great. Percect in fact. Otherwise, id pass. It's clean, but designed in a way thats just bizarrely impersonal.

Owner met us at the door. She is Russian, easy to communicate with Google translate. Place was very clean. Quiet. Easy short walk to the beach. Great food stalls.
