The host tony was incredible, he was the very definition of hospitality. They really went above and beyond for our honeymoon stay and you can tell they truly care about their guests. The homemade breakfast served in the morning was the best we had in our entire month stay in Europe. They use food from their garden, and they use their lemon and oranges for fresh delicious juice in the morning. The room itself was very nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. This was one of the best stays my husband and I have ever had in our life and we travel often.

There were quite a few mosquitos as the property is in a garden, but the host does have bug spray you can use. Location is about a 10 minute bus ride to Sorrento, the buses don't run on time but they do come frequent enough.

The property was amazing. Beautiful setting and very relaxing. Fantastic selection at breakfast with lots of homemade products. We had the lemon the lemon dinner cooked by Frederica one evening, which was an amazing experience . The whole family were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. Frederica’s mother even picked us up from the train station on arrival and showed us around Piano on the way

The comfort and tranquility of the Maresca are exceptional. I did read the reviews before choosing this place for one day stay at Piano, and the place was more than I expected. The room was spacious, with big comfy bed, and then there was the garden with lemon, cedro and orange trees, and birds thinking, and the family running the hotel treat with so much care. It made my stay very special. And yes, as every review mention, the breakfast amazing, I would give it 11 out of 10.

Federica is a great host. she has contacted me as soon as I submitted the reservation. she explained everything about the place, the area and how to get around. she made reservation for us for tours and restaurant. the garden is just beautiful. breakfast was home made and was wonderful. everything was great. I fortunately we stayed only one night because there was no availability for longer time. highly recommend

limited parking so make sure you rent a small car :-)

Every place has its own charm - Villa Maresca for us was not about the room, but about the ambiance - the lovely styling of the room, the porch, the garden surrounding the house, the exquisite breakfast, and Federica, our hostess. Federica received us with a warm and welcoming smile, and explained everything about the area. She also booked us a trip to the island of Capri. The entire place was magical and wonderfully decorated, and the homemade breakfast was beautiful and absolutely delicious - from the bread, to the salads, the eggs, cakes, jams, sweets and the coffee. Everything feels well thought through and prepared to perfection.

Some water would escape our shower which we had to collect and wipe. Nothing serious.

Villa Maresca met our expectations in every respect. The hotel is in a quiet location, yet you can reach the centre of Piano di Sorrento in just a few minutes' walk. You can easily explore the surroundings of Piano di Sorrento by bus or train. The staff is very helpful and knows the area very well. Our wishes were directly taken care of, here the guest comes first. The room provided every comfort and was always cleaned very thoroughly. The breakfast has something for everyone and changes daily so that you can enjoy the whole variety of Italian cuisine. We would happily return to Villa Maresca at any time and would also highly recommend it to anyone.

The rooms were amazing, the garden in the property was breathtaking and the breakfast (mostly made with produce from their garden) was huge and tasty. The owners were extremely nice and took care of every little need we had, including calling local attractions, recommending amazing local restaurants, and helping us plan the trip overall. If we ever go back to the area we will book here again for sure.

The breakfast was amazing everyday, I can’t fault it. New dishes everyday so you always have something different and very generous amounts, it was always absolutely delicious. They use ingredients from their gardens which is special. The gardens in the Villa were also beautiful with all of the lemon and orange trees and flowers which I loved! I also enjoyed the peaceful location, it was lovely to relax on my terrace in the evenings and watch the beautiful sunset. Federica was very helpful in helping me to book tours to Amalfi and Capri for a reasonable price. Also, on my last evening there I was unwell and Federica went above and beyond to buy me some paracetamol and some fizzy drink to help with my nausea, which was greatly appreciated. On a similar note, whenever I requested something Federica made sure that it was brought to me very quickly and efficiently which was excellent!

I’m unsure about the levels of hygiene and cleanliness in the rooms. I was unaware when booking my stay that they change bed linen/towels on a fortnightly basis (this is in the handbook). This means that for 5 nights I slept in the same bedding and used the same towels. This is not something I would do at home and it something I have experienced at any other accommodation. Towels and bed linen are always changed daily or at least every other day to ensure high levels of hygiene and cleanliness for guests. Aside from the bedding/towels not being changed, I saw ants crawling around on the bathroom floor most days. I’ve seen this also in Spain so assume it’s due to the humidity in the bathroom. On one of the days there were a lot of ants so I was given a bug spray to kill them myself (I messaged Federica about this at 12pm midday). I didn’t know how to dispose of them (nor did I think I should have to) so they stayed on the floor until the next day when the room was cleaned. I don’t think any paying guest should be expected to remove ants from a property, it’s the property managers responsibility to ensure it is clean and taken care of and so somebody should have come and gotten rid of the ants rather than leaving it to me. On a final note, I have unfortunately been bitten very badly by bedbugs during my stay. I know that they are bedbugs from having researched the type of bites I have. I understand that bedbugs are fairly common in Italy (and other hot countries around Europe), however I think if the linen and towels were changed more regularly this would have stopped me from being bitten everyday. The bites are very bad and I now have to visit the doctor to ensure I haven’t got an infection from them. Update: doctor has confirmed these are bedbug bites and not mosquito bites and I have been given steroid cream. For info, I was out of the room everyday apart from one day when I was unwell (so couldn’t leave), I was not staying in the room until 1pm at all.

We had a lovely stay at the B&B, it is just as idyllic as it looks on the pictures, on a hill surrounded by lemon trees. Upon arrival we were greeted by Frederica, and a jar of fresh homemade lemonade which was amazing. The room is clean and big, with functioning airconditioning, a television, hairdryer and a mini-fridge. We had a private little terrace which was perfect for us. The best part of the stay was the breakfast, made by frederica and her father. It included fresh juice and coffee, fresh fruit, bread, eggs, pastries and a lot more, best breakfast we’ve had so far! literally everything! The property itself was so beautiful and located perfectly to reach destinations like Sorrento and Amalfi. For me, the host made the entire experience! She was so friendly and accommodating through text before I even arrived and she arranged transport from the station to the property. She prepared a magnificent spread for breakfast and even booked a tour for us to see amalfi as we had struggled to find one. She even booked transfer to the airport when we left. I really hope to go back there, it made my experience a lot more relaxing!
