The accommodation is in a nice settlement, in calm, quiet, beautiful surroundings. The house is beautiful, equipped with all comforts and its surroundings and garden are wonderful. The reception was also very nice.

This is a magnificent place to stay. It is even nicer than it appears in the photos - with waterfalls, bridges and beautiful trees everywhere. It is truly magnificent. The owners are lovely and very helpful. There are lots of things to do close by - from the beautiful Cresswell Crags - a place of scientific and historic interest as it holds the oldest cave art in the UK to the delightful Harley complex, where you’ll find two art galleries, a lovely cafe, farm shop and a garden centre. The Portland Collection is a must for history fans -it has artefacts from Charles 1st’s execution, including the pearl earring that was in his ear! Art lovers will enjoy the Michelangelo drawing too.

I loved everything!

The running river right side of the property-u feel at one with nature! The property was spotless and lots of extras like a hamper of goodies, fantastic accommodation and I was so grateful to be able to stay there.

After you cross the bridge on the left the grassy area has a lot of animals droppings-I don’t know if they were duck,dog etc but I sat down and realised I was surrounded! I instead went around and sat by the lake which the owners had made pristine. Don’t let this put you off going -but don’t go barefoot!!

The setting as part of an estate by a large pond and running stream was idyllic. We had access to the grounds of the estate

Bathroom being downstairs was a little inconvenient

The location was beautiful, the most gorgeous gardens!! The lodge was so clean, the welcome hamper was the best one we’ve had on our travels.
